Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit

Yo, Bratzies!!

I am so totally jazzed! It’s my fave time of year: PROM SEASON!!! Going to Prom is a total dream come true, but it can turn into a total nightmare if you’re not prepared!!

Introducing Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit. Throw these diva-licious items into your clutch for a surefire fab night of fun and friends!!

SASHA’S PROM NIGHT SURVIVAL KIT:

FOLD-UP FLATS: You Bratzies know how much I love my fierce heels, but it’s hard to rock that look and keep pace with a full night of dancing! Even a diva like me won’t pass up on fun for the sake of fashion. Luckily, we don’t have to! You can buy totally adorable flats that fold up to fit into any purse. Bring these along to ensure your feet don’t get tired before you do!

BLOT PADS: Girls, I know you spent a ton of time perfecting your prom make-up. Last thing you want to do is have it smudge and smear while wiping perspiration from your brow! Save the flawless look you created by bringing along some blot pads. You can blot away the sweat without any cosmetic fret.

BOBBY PINS: Let’s be honest, by the end of Prom, your hair will be a mess. Keep your lovely locks in presentable order – at least until you take your Prom photos! – by stashing away some extra bobby pins.

GUM/BREATH MINTS: You will spend the night trying to chat with your BBFs by screaming over the band or DJ. Make sure your friends are happy to get up close and personal by keeping mints handy. Double bonus: your breath will be fresh when talking to boyz!!

STRING: When you’re tired of wearing your corsage or flower crown, a little bit of string can go a long way to preserve your Prom memories! How you ask? Use that string to hang your fab Prom flower pieces upside down and dry them! Remember to do this as soon as you take off the floral pieces. A wilted flower is way harder to dry and preserve!

CASH AND I.D.: Even if you don’t plan on going anywhere after the dance it’s way smart to stash some cash and your I.D.  If you’re anything like this Drama Queen, you will be totally famished and dying to get some grub before heading home. Bringing your wallet ensures you won’t miss out on any post-Prom fun, or get stuck eating mom’s meatless meatloaf leftovers as your midnight snack.

EVER PURSE: 27-year-old Real Bratz Liz Salcedo has come to our Prom aid with a promtastic new clutch! Her EverPurse (https://everpurse.com/) has a built in phone charger!! Now you can promenade without worrying about losing tabs with your besties because of a low battery life or tripping over silly charger wires while trying to boogie down with your BBFs!! Plus, the clutches are totally adorbs!

And lastly, PHONE PLAYLIST: Make a totally rockin’ Prom Playlist on your phone. Not only can the fun jams help get you pumped while prepping for Prom, they can keep the fab energy going while hangin’ with your besties after the dance.

BONUS TIPS:

Drink plenty of water. Perfect the “selfie.” And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, do not be afraid to dance like the rock stars I know you are! Dance like no one is looking! Dance like everyone is looking!! Just dance!!

This is YOUR time. YOUR year. YOUR memory for the rest of YOUR life. Love your friends. Love yourself. And I know you will have a totally fabtastic evening.

I can’t wait to hear all about your totally amazing Proms!!

XOXO

P.S. If you’re NOT going to Prom this year, consider throwing an ANTI-PROM or DUCT TAPE PROM!!! Make your DIY prom into anything you want it to be!! It’s a totally fun way to spend a night with your BBFs!!

Representin’ Advanced Style

Yo Bratzies, it’s your queen, Sasha!

I keep hearing pledging members of the House of Bratz asking me how to dress like REAL BRATZ.    My answer is simple:

DRESS LIKE YOU!!!

Clothes, make-up and hairstyles are just a fun way to show the world who you are on the inside. They are a fabtabulous way to express yourself. If you’re a naturalist on the inside, there’s no need to wear make-up on the outside. If you have a flare for the dramatic, like yours truly, rock out in electric colors and ask your parents if you can put streaks in your hair!

The trick to being a Real Bratz is to always be true to you. There is no need to look or dress like anyone else. Who you are is totes FAB enough!!

The super awesome thing about being a Real Bratz is that ANYONE can become one, at any age!!

Real Bratz super star, Ari Seth Cohen, is on a mission to celebrate and recognize the older Real Bratz population. He finds grandmas on the streets of NYC who exude a true passion for fashion! These older ladies have fierce fashion sense! Whether their clothes are DIY, funky kool, or sleek and chic, they show the world that they are true passionistas. Solid proof that age just refines your fab stylin’s.

Check out Ari’s rad blog. He shows a ton of pics of these Advanced NYC style icons!!

I plan on ALWAYS rockin’ my most fabtastic looks! Even when I’m 100!!  Do you plan on being fashionably TRUE TO YOU well into your golden years?  Why wait? Why not start right now?!

Keep stylin’ and smilin’

Bundled Up Style

Yasmin here for another post on our Bratz Trends Blog today! Lots of our friends have been asking us for tips to dress during the cold Fall and Winter months, so I decided to take the lead to talk about stylish bundled up fashion.

Just because the weather is a drag, doesn’t mean our fashion has to be drab. Right, Bratzies?

There are so many ways to jazz up an outfit even when the weather is trying really hard to give us a “bad outfit day.” I recommend sticking with styles that you know you love and feel comfortable wearing. The important thing is to stay warm!

If you are still looking for more tips, I’ve put together a quick list of Do’s & Don’t’s for ya below!

The Do’s

  • Definitely Layer Clothes – it makes it easy to go from outdoor to indoor weather without freezing or overheating.
  • Be Scarf & Gloves Ready – these are great accessories that look good & help keep you warm. They’re also easy to stuff in a backpack or handbag…even a large coat jacket!
  • Consider a Hat – a lot of heat escapes from the top of the head, so a hat is a good way of trapping that heat to keep in “storage” on a cold day.
  • Mix & Match – a good rule to stick with in every season. Mix summer prints with winter colors or summer colors with winter prints.

The Don’t’s

  • Wear Summer Shorts or Dresses – it’s too cold for summer fabrics unless you cover those legs with tights or leggings.
  • Go outside with wet hair – even though wet hair may not get you sick, wet hair in cold weather sure does make someone feel colder than usual!
  • Forget to moisturize – cold weather often dries out skin & lips. Don’t forget to apply chapstick & lotion.

Snooze & Style

Let’s face it, getting up in the morning for school can be hard sometimes.

It’s especially hard during the winter when it’s cold and gloomy outside, but you are nice and warm under the blankets! Lots of times we hit snooze over and over (and over) again to give us a few more precious moments of sleep. But those are extra minutes we could use deciding what to wear to school. So NOT cool. We Bratz love to have all the time we need to choose the perfect outfit for the day. A Bratzie can never be rushed when it comes to styling. But we also like to have our beauty sleep too!

Decisions, decisions—luckily, we always have back-up plans!

  • Sometimes we try to plan our outfit the night before (which totes helps us out).
  • Other times we choose an outfit that we’ve worn in the past and loved.
  • There are also our Bratz style staples that we make sure are always on-hand in the closet, just in case we are short on time (check out last week’s blog post      for more deets).
  • One of our favorite things to do is talk on the phone with our bestiez about different outfits to wear throughout the week. Our friends are always there to offer great style advice and we couldn’t be happier!

How do you figure out what to wear every day? Help a Bratzie out and share tips in the comment section.

Snooze ya later!

Style Staples

It’s no secret that the Bratz absolutely love to get dressed up and create some funky, fabulous fashions! We always have tons of fun playing with the clothes in our closets and trying to create more new outfits with items we already own. If you girliez are like us (which we know you are!), fashion and style is a big part of your daily life.

One afternoon we were all hanging around with our BFFs talking about our favorite outfits. After talking clothes for hours (obviously), we compiled a little list of items that all of us seemed to have in our closet that we often used in different ways to create awesome outfits. These items are great to keep on hand and tend to appear every year in some sort of trendy fashion.  We thought it was a good idea to share these Bratz Style Staples with all of our friendz! These pieces can create many different styles that fit your personality and the best part is you can wear them from year to year!

Here are our Bratz Style Staples –

  • Leggings – invest in printed ones  like leopard, zebra or a bright neon pair.
  • Jacket – denim or leather. Even a cropped jacket would be awesome!
  • White T-shirt – always great to pair with a maxi skirt, denim pants or printed leggings
  • Accessories – a statement or chunky necklace or earrings always make an outfit pop
  • Go-To Shoes – whether they are high top sneakers, black high heels, embellished sandals or glitzy flats, your go-to shoes should represent your personality & the outfits you like to wear

What do you consider to be personal style staples? Share with us in the comments!

A Stylin’ Starz Halloween

Hi there, boo-z! There are all sorts of glam-ific fun in store this Halloween here at the Bratz house, but some of our friends are still having trouble deciding what to dress up as. With so many options out there to choose from, it’s no wonder our Bratzies can’t decide!

Last week we talked about how to create your very own Bratzillaz costume, so now we are going to help out with tips on how to create a Bratz Style Starz. Our style star look is super pop glam and all about having fun. We know if anyone can be a style star best it’s our Bratzies!

Here’s how to create your very own Bratz Style Starz costume in 5 easy steps –

  1. Pick your Star: choose your Bratz Style Starz girl or you can be a combo of all of us!
  2. Style it up: Take a look in your closet for the funkiest, brightest and fun clothes. The bolder, the better. Think Hollywood glam like Selena Gomez, Bella Thorne and Katy Perry. Remember to mix and match styles, patterns and fabrics!
Extra tip – ask mom, sister(s) and / or friends to make a visit to their closets for extra options to choose from
  3. Always Accessorize: grab some super trendy sunglasses, shoes (like your princess pouf sandals, if you have them) and plenty of bracelets to complete your glam look.
  4. ‘Do your Hair: ask for some help curling the hair or ask if anyone has a fun wig to borrow. The bigger the hair, the better!
  5. Mic-up: Every star needs a microphone! If you don’t already have a toy (or real) microphone handy, you can make your own. Grab a tennis ball and the cardboard from a used paper towel roll and tape them together. Next, wrap it all up black (or any color) tissue paper.

Now you Starz are camera-ready for Glam-oween! For extra star fun, be sure to download the Bratz Style Starz app for the iPhone and iPad. You can document your rockin’ style and snap photos using the Bratz Cam, sing the night away along with us in karaoke, OR even create your very own songs. Go ahead Starz, sing your heart out!

Wishing all our friendz a very stylin’, safe and HAPPY GLAM-oween

Trick or Treat!

Halloween is one of the Bratz’ favorite holidays of the year! What other holiday out there encourages us to get dressed up in fun, funky costumes and makeup?

Word on the street is gals everywhere want to dress up as the Bratzillaz – Cloetta Spelleta, Yasmina Clairvoya, Sashabella Paws, Jade J’Adore and Meygana Broomstix. There’s a quick and easy way for Bratzies to create their own Bratzillaz style with items from around the house. We’re ready for glam to get wicked and you can be too!

Here are 5 easy tips to make your own Bratzillaz costume:

  1. Pick a Bratzillaz girl -  (red for Jade J’adore or hot pink for Cloetta Spelletta, or whatevs)
  2. Style the outfit – grab clothes from your own closet & get creative with the chosen color (the funkier, the better!)
  3. Make a cape – with a bed sheet or a piece fabric (be sure to use the color you picked)
  4. Borrow or Create a witch hat –using 2 pieces of cardboard paper (take one sheet & tape together to make a cone, and then cut the other piece into a circle. Wrap both pieces with colored fabric & secure together with glue or tape to make a hat)

NYC Fashion Week Love

Hi there, Bratzies! Jade here and I’ve got a serious case of New York Fashion Week! What a great week for the city, I so wish the Bratz could have been there front and center for all the glam!

Let’s talk runway trends. From fierce prints to super brights like blues, reds and greens, it’s going to be another bold year in fashion! Think florals with stripes, funky prints with a girly touch and intense color blocking with a bright blues and soft pinks. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns and colors that may not typically match, Bratzies. Let the imagination run wild this season because it’s all about making a personality statement and taking outfits to new heights. Sure sounds like Bratz style to me!

I definitely will be taking some serious fashion trends to the L.O.V.E Jade boutique and will be sure to share all my style inspiration on the blog.

I’m SO excited to share my new styles with each of you and see what all the Bratz fashionistaz will be wearing this next year.  I always love seeing the great outfit creations from each of you! What were some of your favorite looks from the runway? Post your comments below!

Satchel Style

Hey there, Bratzies! Cloe here, and if you’re like me, you need a SERIOUS purse to hold all your makeup, your cell phone, journal, and anything else that could solve any possible issues at school, the mall, or even a dance! This Fall, the best bag there is to handle…well, EVERYTHING…is the stylin’ satchel bag.

Somewhere between a clutch and a shoulder bag, the satchel was made to be carried low by the handles, or worn high close to the body and around the shoulder. These bags are seriously roomy. I can fit my whole life in one of these, and thanks to its rounder shape, it doesn’t look bulky or clunky.

Plus, since it’s designed to be carried or worn close at hand, it’ll take less time to grab your cell phone out of it to put in a cute boy’s number!

Try coordinating the color of your satchel with the primary color of your accessories, such as your belt, shoes, or scarves – it’ll enhance those small doses of shade on your body and really make them POP! What would YOU put in your satchel before leaving the house?

Smart Style

See how a little preppy houndstooth pattern on my pants gives the outfit an edge without overpowering it? Give it a shot, schoolgirl!

Hello to all my Bratzie girls! Cloe here, and I’m getting ready to shop for some cool new plaid skirts so I can be prepared to go preppy!

The newest Fall trend calls for us ladies to start breaking out the school uniform-type clothes and accessories, such as cardigans, vests, knee socks, argyles, plaids, thick-framed glasses, and loafers–but with a stylish twist!

Try incorporating a preppy-type pattern or item into your usual outfits, like a houndstooth skirt or pants, or some argyle knee-socks with your favorite skirts.

It’s so awesome that dressing like you’re going to school can look so fabulous outside of school! What kind of prep-tacular accessories or clothes do you plan to try out?

That’s all for now…stay looking SMART, Bratzie girls!
