2013 NYE Resolutions

Bratz here to talk about 2013 resolutions for 2013! This seems to be something that everybody (especially our parents) always talks about at the end of every year. The way we understand it people pick a few things they’d like to improve on, do or do without for the next year and then they try really really really hard to stick to these goals. We think making resolutions for 2013 is a great idea, so we’re going to do it too. Here are some resolutions that we’re all going to set for ourselves –

  1. Spend more time happy and less time sad
  2. Smile more to people at school
  3. See something, say something – it is NOT Ok for people to be bullied
  4. Make the effort to get better grades at school
  5. Play outside more. Be active!
  6. Always be a friend – there is no need for enemies in life
  7. Hug our moms & dads more
  8. Read one book per month (not including school required books, silly friends)
  9. Drink more water and less soda
  10. When given the choice, always be kind

Wishing all of you a very safe and fun New Year’s Eve! Bring in the New Year with a big smile because life is beautiful…and so are you!

Style Staples

It’s no secret that the Bratz absolutely love to get dressed up and create some funky, fabulous fashions! We always have tons of fun playing with the clothes in our closets and trying to create more new outfits with items we already own. If you girliez are like us (which we know you are!), fashion and style is a big part of your daily life.

One afternoon we were all hanging around with our BFFs talking about our favorite outfits. After talking clothes for hours (obviously), we compiled a little list of items that all of us seemed to have in our closet that we often used in different ways to create awesome outfits. These items are great to keep on hand and tend to appear every year in some sort of trendy fashion.  We thought it was a good idea to share these Bratz Style Staples with all of our friendz! These pieces can create many different styles that fit your personality and the best part is you can wear them from year to year!

Here are our Bratz Style Staples –

  • Leggings – invest in printed ones  like leopard, zebra or a bright neon pair.
  • Jacket – denim or leather. Even a cropped jacket would be awesome!
  • White T-shirt – always great to pair with a maxi skirt, denim pants or printed leggings
  • Accessories – a statement or chunky necklace or earrings always make an outfit pop
  • Go-To Shoes – whether they are high top sneakers, black high heels, embellished sandals or glitzy flats, your go-to shoes should represent your personality & the outfits you like to wear

What do you consider to be personal style staples? Share with us in the comments!

Sasha’s Top 5

Hiya Bratz! Sasha here and I’m in such a great mood I thought I’d be the one to blog today!

With the launch of the Bratz Style Starz App on iTunes I felt inspired to update some of my music with new jams to dance and sing-along to and I am SO happy I did.  There were a lot of songs from my usual faves…like Justin Bieber (talk about a dreamboat!), but there are also a few new singers / bands that have been a blast to rock out to.

These newly discovered tunes totally having me singing and dancing the day away with a smile. With catchy lyrics and upbeat tempos, how can any Bratzie resist?

Here’s what’s been on my playlist lately.

  • Mindless Behavior – Valentine’s Girl
  • Justin Bieber – As Long As You Love Me
  • Calvin Harris featuring Ne-Yo  – Let’s Go
  • Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe
  • Nicki Minaj – Starships

I’m always on the hunt for some great new tunes and want to hear from you! Tell me in the comments below – what are some of your favorite songs and artists of 2012?

That’s all from me. Dance with ya later, Bratzies!

xoxo Bunny Boo

Satchel Style

Hey there, Bratzies! Cloe here, and if you’re like me, you need a SERIOUS purse to hold all your makeup, your cell phone, journal, and anything else that could solve any possible issues at school, the mall, or even a dance! This Fall, the best bag there is to handle…well, EVERYTHING…is the stylin’ satchel bag.

Somewhere between a clutch and a shoulder bag, the satchel was made to be carried low by the handles, or worn high close to the body and around the shoulder. These bags are seriously roomy. I can fit my whole life in one of these, and thanks to its rounder shape, it doesn’t look bulky or clunky.

Plus, since it’s designed to be carried or worn close at hand, it’ll take less time to grab your cell phone out of it to put in a cute boy’s number!

Try coordinating the color of your satchel with the primary color of your accessories, such as your belt, shoes, or scarves – it’ll enhance those small doses of shade on your body and really make them POP! What would YOU put in your satchel before leaving the house?

Fall Into Summer

A cute floral Summer dress like this can be totally Fall-worthy with just the right accessories…swap out those heels for some ankle boots, and rock a dark turtleneck underneath!

Hey there, Bratzies! Yasmin here, and I don’t know about you, but I am SO not ready to stop wearing some of the cool clothes that I bought for the Summer! Just because it’s Autumn doesn’t mean our fun in the sun outfits have to “Fall” out of our closet.

It’s all about pairing some breezy-weather items with our tanning outfits. Got a cool silk tanktop? Wear that with some cool skinny jeans, high heels, and some big jewelry.

Still want to rock that floral-print sun dress? Add some ankle boots and a black turtleneck around you to tone down the Summer attitude into Fall cool.

Still want to show your legs in some cute jean shorts? Pair it with a motorcycle jacket and a long-sleeved dark-colored top.

It’s all about taking the best of both seasons and making it timeless! What Fall fashions do YOU plan to pair with your Summer classics?

Fall Fashion Goes Flat

Sculpted heels are awesome, but sometimes fashion needs both feet FLAT on the ground!

Hello my Bratzies! Your Funky Fashion girl Meygan here, getting ready to head back to school in a totally trendy way! This Fall has me thinking outside the box…the shoebox, that is! While I am all about the sky-high heels, a fashionista on the go needs to give her feet and back a rest now and then, which is why I am so totally stoked about the upcoming Fall trend – flirty flat shoes!

They go well with any skirts or skinny jeans, and can be as dressy or casual as you need them to be. Plus, you can throw them on super-fast if you’re running late for class, and make the mad dash to homeroom in no time without worrying about tripping in front of any cute boys! Make your first attempt at flats a bold one…try shimmery, sparkly fabric, or open-toed with a bright toenail polish.

Remember Bratzies, fashion goes a lot farther when you’re comfortable, so make that step back into class a smooth one! What kind of flats would you wear on your first day back?

Mixing Up Outfits

Hi Bratzies! It’s so close to back to school time and that gets me excited because I LOVE back to school shopping! A new backpack, new shoes and awesome outfits are what gets me motivated for fall. But here’s the bad part: once the first few weeks go by and I’ve worn all my brand new outfits I get stuck in a fashion rut! So I’ve been thinking of new ways to spice up my outfit choices.

One great way to mix up your outfits is to pair a dress with a cute top! It really works wonders to your wardrobe by creating a whole new look. A short sleeve bright cardigan layered over a printed dress topped off with a nice belt comes together nicely. Try it out and let me know how many new outfits you come up with!

I mixed it up and made this dress into a whole new outfit!

Healthy Summer Snacks

Hey dolls! Jade here with some healthy summer snack ideas to keep you fueled up for summer fun!

Healthy eats give me energy for one of my fave activities--SHOPPING!

1)   Did you know fruit gets an extra splash of flavor with a little bit of lemon or lime juice and a sprinkle of salt? If you’re feeling feisty, put a shake of chili powder on top. You’ll find that the sweet fruit flavor really pops! My favorite is mango with lime and salt – it’s totally tropical and delicious! You can also do this with vegetables like cucumbers or tomatoes.

2)   If you want something a little more filling, try a whole wheat English muffin with some peanut butter on top. Slice a banana and top the peanut butter with a few banana slices. This snack is super tasty, and packed with protein and healthy sugar from fruit, as well as whole grains to keep you full. Try it after a workout for the ultimate yummy and healthy treat!

3)   If you’re craving something sweet, try sticking one chocolate chip right side up into a raspberry! These adorable and delicious berries are perfect for a simple, sweet snack, and everyone will rave about them if you serve them at a party. I think I’ll make these for our next Bratz sleepover!

What are your favorite healthy snacks?

Get Up and Get Active!

Cloe here--just workin' on my fitness!

Hey Bratzies! It’s Cloe here! I just got back from an awesome morning skate session.  Sometimes I have to trade in the high heels for athletic shoes! It’s important that we take care of our bodies with proper eating and exercise if we want to stay fabulous!

It’s summer time so I try to get my daily cardio in by going to the gym or playing soccer-–I love it cuz I never lose! I like to switch it up every now and then with skateboarding. Getting involved in a sport is a great way to stay in shape and have fun. Physical activity doesn’t have to be boring! A brisk walk while chatting with friends for 30 minutes should do it or even 15-20 minutes of basketball!

There are so many fabulous activities such as dancing, hiking, horseback riding, skateboarding and fitness classes. It can get pretty hot in the summer so I’m sure the #1 option on most people’s list is the swimming pool! When you are having fun you totally forget you are working out, which is great for those who have a hard time getting the motivation! Don’t be a couch potato this summer–get up and get active!

Okay Bratzies now it’s your turn to share with us your favorite physical activity to stay fit!
