Olympic Fashions

Namaste, Bratzies!

I’m so excited the Olympics are here. I love watching people from all around the world come together to celebrate our differences and similarities with some healthy competition. It is uber zentastic. I wish yoga were an Olympic sport! I’d be all over that!

Lately, super fabulous and patriotic make-up styles have been invading the interwebs. I love the idea of supporting your home team by rockin’ your country’s flagship colors and styles.  Here is a list of some of my fave Olympic looks:

Flag Flare: Some amazing make-up artists have been painting their eyelids like the flags from their home countries! My favorite one so far has been the Union Jack eye make-up. So pretty! So detailed!

I have also seen people paint their country’s flag on their lips! This look doesn’t fly with a lot of flag designs, but when it works, it works! The Japanese flag lipstick is soooo pretty!

Patriotic Colors: You can represent your country in a million different ways just by wearing your country’s national colors! I saw a beautiful picture of a woman who had layered her jewelry with pieces that represent all 6 different colors in the South African flag! OM-mazing!

You can also paint your nails, pick our your wardrobe and add colored extensions to your hair, all in your country’s unique colors!

Olympic Rings: Olympic rings are fun because you can pull them off anywhere! Big hoop earrings! Bangles! A ring on each finger! I’m also a bog fan of painting your nails white and then using a toothpick to draw each of the Olympic rings on your fingernails! It’s super easy and super cute!

Do you have any other Zensible Olympic fashion suggestions?

Stick to your Resolutions!

Hi y’all!

Now that New Year’s Eve is over, and we’ve drank all the sparkling cider and taken our sparkling cocktail dresses to the cleaners, it’s totes hard to stay committed to those New Year’s Resolutions!
Here are a few hip n’ handy tips to help you stay committed to your 2014 commitment.

1- Make a resolution! You gotta make one, to make it happen! It’s like the lottery always says, you gotta play to win!

2- (This one’s my fave.) Look in the mirror and repeat your goal out loud over and over for a full minute– then fix your hair, but not until the minute is over!

3- Write your goal down on a bunch of pieces of paper and post them places you will see. I like to write my resolutions on my pink sticky note pad in big blue bubble letters!
4- Make it possible to reach your goals. If you decided to run a half marathon this year, don’t pick one happening in March. Choose a marathon in October so you can give yourself plenty of time to practice and prepare your body for the run. Then sign up for smaller runs, like a 5k in March, and a 10k in June, to keep yourself motivated. Same fab rule applies to any of your goals!
5- Find ways to make it fun! Whether it is getting straight A’s or finally asking out that cute boy in Science class, figure out how to make the adventure crazy fun! Maybe you and your girls can go out for hot cocoa right after a fierce study session. Or before asking out your crush, you can dive in to an amaze shopping spree! So fun!
Good luck, Bratzies! Keep me updated!

MOvember

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!!

Sasha here, and I want to talk to you about the hottest autumn trend. Moustaches are in! And they’re not just for hipsters. Not during the month of November, anyway.

This November, help raise awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, by joining in the epically fabulous, MOvember.

Movember stands for “moustache November.” Men who are supporting the cause, grow their moustaches for the entire month of November. But you don’t have to be a dude to dive into all the dramarama. You know this Queen Bee isn’t giving up an opportunity to rock the latest look!

Mo-Bros may have it easier by simply letting their facial hair grow, but Mo-Sistas have many options to help the cause and look fab doing it!

Here are a few ways Mo-Sistas can celebrate Movember:

1: The Finger-Stache.

Simply place your pointer finger above your upper lip to look like a moustache. Whenever you see a Mo-Bro, make your finger-stache to show your support!

2: The Pony-Stache

Use your own hair or ponytail and pull it around to front of your face to act as a moustache!

3: Jewelry-Stache:

Check out these ultra fab sunglasses and fabnomenal ring! Some moustache jewelry even donates a part of their proceeds to men’s cancers research! Check before you buy! Shopping is so much more fun when you’re helping peeps at the same time! Am I right?

5: Stache-on-a-Stick

Cut out a moustache in your fave construction paper color and tape it to a straw for an easy, no-drama moustache.

Halloween Goes Glam

What’z the hapz, Bratz?!

Jade here!! And I am totally geeking out because Haloween is almost here. It is, like, the most radtacular holiday ever!! Can you Bratzies guess what my favorite part is: dressing up!

This year is all about bringing the “glam” to the “quirky kool.” It’s super easy to do! Just think of whatever it spooky creature you want to be for Halloween and then glam-i-fy it!

Picture this:

Glam Monster-

A terrifying monster rockin’ a rad neon green feather boa and a fierce set of heels! Just because you were born in a swamp doesn’t mean you can’t have style!

Glam Witch-

A spooky witch with tinsel extensions, a mirrored belt and dazzling faux-diamonds. You won’t know if people are more spellbound by your wicked potions or by your signature fashion statement.

Glam Zombie-

A disgusting zombie who offsets her craving for brains with a crimson dress and ruby slippers. Why be the “walking” undead when you can be the “strutting” undead?

See? Glam-i-fying your costume is totally fun and totally easy!! There are a ton of rad combos you can create that I haven’t even thought of!!

The other kickin’ Halloween trend this year is doing the total opposite. Start glam and add a tad of gross!

Start off your look as a seriously gorge princess, fairy or Prom Queen… then add vampire teeth!

The best part about these mix ’n’ match costumes is that they are totally D.I.Y.! You can create a ton of looks from what you already have in your closets!

Tell me what you are going to be for Halloween!! I know whatever you pick with be totally krazy kool!!

xoxo

LAST COMIC BOOK INSTALLMENT – PASSIONVIEW OLYMPICS

Our Heroez have tried EVERYTHING to relight the Olympic Torch: lighters, blow torches, birthday candles. But nothing is working!!

Is this the end for the Passionview Olympics?

Once again, all the people of Passionview came together to hold the Olympic Torch.

“The Olympics are all about uniting the land,” said Shira. “Once we’ve come together, I’m sure the flame will reignite!”

After all the people of Passionview held the smoldering torch, Yasmin used her Super Twirl to kick up sparks and reignite the torch. But it didn’t work!!

“Oh no!” said Yasmin. “Something is wrong! The Olympic Torch still won’t catch fire!”

Cloe said:

Evilla was ELATED to found out the city of Passionview needed her and came as quickly as she could.

“I’m here. I’m here. Do not fret, citizens. I, Evilla Vanderbelt, will hold the Olympic Torch and save the Passionview Olympics. Bring out the balloons! Start the parade!”

“OK,” said Yasmin. “I hope this works!”

Yasmin, once again, used her Super Twirl. Sparks flew through the air! Immediately, the Olympic Torch went up in flames!

The people of Passionview rejoiced. As a community, along with Evilla, they carried the flame to the Passionview Arena and lit the Official Olympic Cauldron for the games to begin!

THE END

Action Heroez and Cranky Cat

LAST WEEK: In the Adventures of the Action Heroez:

The Action Heroez tricked Evilla into retuning the Passionview Fashion Institute’s students’ designs. But Evilla swore she would get her revenge. Does Evilla have something more evil up her sleeve?!?

The Action Heroez arrive at the P.F.I. Graduation ceremony to thunderous applause.

The heroez quickly take their seats, eager to see the ceremony’s keynote speaker and web sensation, Cranky Cat!!

MEANWHILE…

Cranky Cat sits in his dressing room backstage, crankily waiting to give his keynote speech.

“Meh-eow,” says Cranky Cat.

The Action Heroez, and Cranky Cat, have no idea that Evilla Vanderbelt is lurking nearby…

Angry that her previous attempt to thwart graduation was hindered by the Action Heroez, Evilla sneaks backstage and CATNAPS Cranky Cat!

“The students can’t graduate without their speaker. Boo-hoo ,” says Evilla. “Aren’t you just positively tickled to destroy their joy with me, Cranky Cat?”
“Meh-eow.”

Back in the graduation auditorium, the students wait for the keynote speaker, but he doesn’t come. Gasps! Cries! Oh no!! Has something happened to Cranky Cat?!?!

The Action Heroez rush into action, but when they get to Cranky Cat’s room, it’s too late.

“Don’t worry,” Shira says, “We will find Cranky Cat and return him safely to the graduation. Somehow… ”

Will the Action Heroez be able to save Cranky Cat? Tune in next week!!

Action Heroez Part II

The Action Heroez MUST find a way to get the students their designs back! Time is running out!!!

A COMPROMISE IS MADE! The students reluctantly agree to let Evilla show her designs down the runway be theirs, in exchange for returning their stolen garments.

“After all,” the students thought, “how many designs could she possibly have to show??”

Thrilled, Evilla claps her hands and bright lights flood the runway, revealing… A MOUNTAIN OF BURLAP SACKS!!!

“Each one of these beautiful sacks must make it down the runway,” said Evilla. “Or not a single student will get her designs back! Aren’t they GORG??”

“Oh no!” the students cried out. “There’s no way we can get through all those burlap sacks by midnight! We’ll never be able to graduate!!

“It’s OK, guys,” said Cloe. “I have an idea!!”

“I hope this works,” said Cloe, as she throws one of Evilla’s burlap sacks over her Action Heroez outfit and uses her SUPER-POWERED SPEED DASH to run down the runway!!

The students cheer as Cloe runs each sack down the runway. Moving so fast, she is little more than a blur!!

“Nooooooooo!” Evilla cried. “This isn’t fair!”

“Sorry, Evilla,” said Shira. “we did our end of the deal. Now you have to return the students’ designs so they can put on their runway show and graduate.”

“A deal,” Cloe said, taking a deep breath as she finished running the last sack down the runway. “Is,” Cloe took another deep breath,”a deal.”

Evilla reluctantly calls on her henchmen to return the fashion designs to the students.

“Hooray!” cried the students!

“Don’t celebrate yet, Action Heroez,” said Evilla. “I WILL GET MY REVENGE!!”

TUNE IN NEXT WEEK TO SEE WHETHER EVILLA GETS HER REVENGE ON THE ACTION HEROEZ AND THE STUDENTS.

IS THE P.F.I. GRADUATION STILL IN DANGER???

Tweevils are Cyber Bullies

What’z the hapz, Bratz??

If any of you Bratzies were on Facebook, you would’ve seen that the Tweevils hacked into our Facebook page!! It was totally KRAY-to-the-Z! Krazy!! And beyond NOT kool!!

After they went on our Facebook page, they left posts pretending they were us!! Can you believe it?! They even tried to pry secret information about us from all of our Bratzies!! But the total worst part: they changed our Facebook password so we couldn’t get back in!!

Luckily, our EPICALLY RAD Bratzies took to Twitter and told us what the Tweevils changed our password to. Those puke-pink Tweevils totally cyber bullied us, but we will NOT let it happen again! I did a little research and found some primo tips on protecting your privacy in cyber space!!

JADE’S RAD ANTI-CYBER BULLYING TIPS:

1 – NEVER tell anyone your password. Not even your BBFs!! A true bestie would never make you feel bad for not sharing. When you lose your password, like we did, you lose total control of your page and your image. Avoid this epic fail by keeping your secret password secret.

2 – Never send texts or pics to anyone that you wouldn’t want getting around. If there is an adorbs pic of you blowing a bubble, but you aren’t supposed to be chewing gum, do NOT send the cute pic to your friend. Instead, show it to her in-person whenever you see her next. Anything that could get you in trouble should stay in your possession only!

3 – Never open any messages from people on the internet that you don’t know or know to be bullies. These messages could contain gnarly text or links that contain viruses!! Best to play it safe and just stay clear.

4 – Don’t save your password on any computer — except for maybe the ones you own at home. And alwayz make sure to log out of all your accounts at the school media center, library, Internet café or even at a friend’s house. If someone is anglin’ to cyber bully, you don’t want to make it easy for her to pick you as the next target.

5 – Pause before you post.  Peeps will judge you by the messages you leave behind on social media. If you think you’ve written something rad and full of swagger, read it again to make sure it can’t be misinterpreted as mean or crude. Once you’ve given it the once-over, if you’re still  amped by what you wrote, go ahead and click: send.

BONUS TIP – Don’t be a cyber bully yourself. A true Bratzie is never mean to someone, even when you have the opportunity to be mean anonymously. Do YOU want to be like the Tweevils? It takes a lot of character to take the high road, but if there is one thing people know about our Bratzies, it is that they are over-flowing with character.

Lastly, if you see someone being cyber bullied, tell an adult you trust. For more tips, read our radtacular blog, called “Friends Stand Up.” You can click below to read it:

Stay stylin’, my friends.
