Advice from Real Bratz Jasmin

Namaste, Bratzies!

It’s Yasmin here, and I just had the most totally fabnomenal convo with #RealBratz Jasmin Larian, creator of Cult Gaia. Jasmin is only 24 years old and ALREADY has a booming company selling handmade flower crowns. They are soooooo pretty!

The best part about Jasmin is that she is totally a zensible girl! (Aaaaaand is one letter away from having the cutest name ever, if I do say so myself!!!) She is super chill and had a ton of fab advice for Bratzies unleashing their passions, like us!!

Jasmin says you should, “Do what you love and success will find you.”

We Bratz couldn’t agree more!! (See, I told you this gal was OM-mazing!!)

She also says to never let fear hold you back from unleashing your passion. You don’t want to be the thing that gets in the way of your own success. Jasmin admits, “I didn’t have any fear. I just did what I liked. Not having fear gives you the certainty that you will do.”

This chica is totes zen about her success. When I asked her secret is, she said it’s her BBFs!!!

“My friends are why I do what I do. It’s why I got started.”

Jasmin never set off on a mission to build her own company. She began by simply making flower crowns to give her friends on their birthdays. They were so beautifierce that boutiques couldn’t help but take notice. “I always made gifts for my friends. When I was little I used to design and decorate their birthday cards instead of buying one.”

It’s totes OM-Mazing how doing something so small, something that we ALL do — like designing a bday card or gift for a friend — can turn into a lifetime of doing what you love!!

And Jasmin has her fabnomenal friends to thank. They have been her biggest supporters and her most inspiring role models.

“There is so much success to be had in collaborations, between like-minded people. Having supportive friends is everything. You need people to bounce ideas off of and create from. Good friends inspire each other. The friends who have been influential in my own personal growth are the ones I look up to.”

We totes agree.

With Jasmin having such rad success at such a young age, I asked her what she hopes to still accomplish later in life.

“I want to keep doing creative things in one form or another. I want to stay positive and keep my zest for life so when I’m 90 I can say that I have lived my whole life to its fullest.”

We love you, Jasmin!!

xoxo

Representin’ Advanced Style

Yo Bratzies, it’s your queen, Sasha!

I keep hearing pledging members of the House of Bratz asking me how to dress like REAL BRATZ.    My answer is simple:

DRESS LIKE YOU!!!

Clothes, make-up and hairstyles are just a fun way to show the world who you are on the inside. They are a fabtabulous way to express yourself. If you’re a naturalist on the inside, there’s no need to wear make-up on the outside. If you have a flare for the dramatic, like yours truly, rock out in electric colors and ask your parents if you can put streaks in your hair!

The trick to being a Real Bratz is to always be true to you. There is no need to look or dress like anyone else. Who you are is totes FAB enough!!

The super awesome thing about being a Real Bratz is that ANYONE can become one, at any age!!

Real Bratz super star, Ari Seth Cohen, is on a mission to celebrate and recognize the older Real Bratz population. He finds grandmas on the streets of NYC who exude a true passion for fashion! These older ladies have fierce fashion sense! Whether their clothes are DIY, funky kool, or sleek and chic, they show the world that they are true passionistas. Solid proof that age just refines your fab stylin’s.

Check out Ari’s rad blog. He shows a ton of pics of these Advanced NYC style icons!!

I plan on ALWAYS rockin’ my most fabtastic looks! Even when I’m 100!!  Do you plan on being fashionably TRUE TO YOU well into your golden years?  Why wait? Why not start right now?!

Keep stylin’ and smilin’

I Believe in Mermaids

Namaste Bratzies and HOBles alike!

Did everyone have a zentastic Spring Break? My break was OM-mazing! I went to the beach, did yoga on the sand, collected seashells and just inner peaced with my rad self.

I love going to the ocean! It is so peaceful and inspiring. When I’m at the beach, I love watching the horizon and keeping my eyes peeled for dolphins, whales and mermaids. Yes, mermaids!!

Did you know that scientists believe we have only discovered about 70% of the world’s sea creatures? There are still so many mysteries buried deep in the oceans. Under the blue seas reside the deepest caverns and the tallest mountains on the planet! Perhaps, hidden away in one of those deep-sea caverns, lives a handful of mermaids. You never know!  And it doesn’t hurt to believe.

When Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas he wrote in his diary about mermaids that swam along his ship! He even drew fabtastic pictures of them in journal. Later, Columbus decided that he didn’t see a mermaid but had actually seen a manatee. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s pretty hard to confuse the two! Maybe he just second-guessed seeing such a mysterious and mythological creature.

I know I may seem silly to believe in mermaids, but it is fun to believe that Mother Earth still holds some magical secrets! One of my total fave movie quotes is, “Don’t overlook those lovely intangibles. You’ll discover those are the only things worthwhile.”

I’m not saying mermaids exist. I’m just not saying they don’t exist.

I didn’t see any mermaids on my spring vacay, but I had a fabtabulous time lookin’ for them!

Do you believe in anything wondrous and unseen, like mermaids?

Stay believin’!

P.S. Don’t forget to come back to the blog on Sunday to see what members of the House of Bratz will be wearing on Monday!!!

Fall Into Summer

A cute floral Summer dress like this can be totally Fall-worthy with just the right accessories…swap out those heels for some ankle boots, and rock a dark turtleneck underneath!

Hey there, Bratzies! Yasmin here, and I don’t know about you, but I am SO not ready to stop wearing some of the cool clothes that I bought for the Summer! Just because it’s Autumn doesn’t mean our fun in the sun outfits have to “Fall” out of our closet.

It’s all about pairing some breezy-weather items with our tanning outfits. Got a cool silk tanktop? Wear that with some cool skinny jeans, high heels, and some big jewelry.

Still want to rock that floral-print sun dress? Add some ankle boots and a black turtleneck around you to tone down the Summer attitude into Fall cool.

Still want to show your legs in some cute jean shorts? Pair it with a motorcycle jacket and a long-sleeved dark-colored top.

It’s all about taking the best of both seasons and making it timeless! What Fall fashions do YOU plan to pair with your Summer classics?

Fall Fashion Goes Flat

Sculpted heels are awesome, but sometimes fashion needs both feet FLAT on the ground!

Hello my Bratzies! Your Funky Fashion girl Meygan here, getting ready to head back to school in a totally trendy way! This Fall has me thinking outside the box…the shoebox, that is! While I am all about the sky-high heels, a fashionista on the go needs to give her feet and back a rest now and then, which is why I am so totally stoked about the upcoming Fall trend – flirty flat shoes!

They go well with any skirts or skinny jeans, and can be as dressy or casual as you need them to be. Plus, you can throw them on super-fast if you’re running late for class, and make the mad dash to homeroom in no time without worrying about tripping in front of any cute boys! Make your first attempt at flats a bold one…try shimmery, sparkly fabric, or open-toed with a bright toenail polish.

Remember Bratzies, fashion goes a lot farther when you’re comfortable, so make that step back into class a smooth one! What kind of flats would you wear on your first day back?

Mixing Up Outfits

Hi Bratzies! It’s so close to back to school time and that gets me excited because I LOVE back to school shopping! A new backpack, new shoes and awesome outfits are what gets me motivated for fall. But here’s the bad part: once the first few weeks go by and I’ve worn all my brand new outfits I get stuck in a fashion rut! So I’ve been thinking of new ways to spice up my outfit choices.

One great way to mix up your outfits is to pair a dress with a cute top! It really works wonders to your wardrobe by creating a whole new look. A short sleeve bright cardigan layered over a printed dress topped off with a nice belt comes together nicely. Try it out and let me know how many new outfits you come up with!

I mixed it up and made this dress into a whole new outfit!

Neon isn’t just for the runway!

Hi dollz!

Jade here welcoming you to our brand new Trends Blog! I’m so excited to be the first to post on here! I’ve got your spring fashion forecast—it includes heavy showers of bright fun color! Neon is in for spring and we’re totally rockin’ this trend from head to toe. We found ways to incorporate neon into our hair, shoes and clothes. We don’t mind turning heads with our shockingly bright outfits! This trend was spotted all over the runways of New York Fashion Week and now all the fashion mags and blogs are buzzing about it.

I'm not afraid to go neon!

While we are brave and bold, we know not everyone shares our same level of passion for fashion. Since I am the fashion guru of the group I made a list of some other ways you can sport the neon trend without going all out!

1. Nails: Paint your fingers and toes a neon shade of pink, green, yellow or orange!

2. Jewelry: Add some funk to your look with a bright necklace, earrings or bracelet.

3. Shoes: Lace your sneakers up with neon laces. You’ll stand out!

4. Layers: Wear a neutral tone like black and layer a neon tank top underneath. You’ll show just a peek of neon without going over-the-top.

5. Hair: Imitate our neon hair by adding a few neon hair extensions. Get the clip -on kind so you can switch the color anytime you want without damaging your locks.

Yasmin adds just a bit of bright purple to her ponytail!

Stay Stylish,

Kool Kat
