Bratz Club, Here We Come!!!

Yo, Bratzies!

Sasha here, and on behalf of my girlz we want to give YOU a crazy loud shout out!! THANK YOU!

Because of all your awesome enthusiasm, Cloe’s idea for a Bratz club is a go!

We have SOOOO much to think of before our club launches. Turns out there is a ton that goes into club making! Whew! Maybe you Bratzies can help us out?

We have read all the totes fab club names you gave us and have narrowed it down. Next week we will give you our fave club names to vote on!! Check the blog Monday to vote!

After narrowing down our club names, we elected our club government. Cloe is President. Yours truly is Vice President, thank you very much. Kool Kat will be treasurer and our Pretty Princess is Secretary and Historian.

Our new club makes all us Bratzies, from all around the globe, part of something special. We are a team. We are a unit. And our club will be a safe place where Real Bratz will always be welcomed and will always be loved.

The Bratz club members will climb on each other’s shoulders, reach for the stars, unleash their passion and change the world!! We are so crazy psyched for this rad club of support and friendship! Holla’ if you’re happy with the hapz, Bratzies!

Now we need to come up with fabtastic wayz to unite us! Yours truly came up with the R.A.B. Fab (Real.Awesome.Bratz. Fabulous!) idea of wearing the same thing on Mondays. This way you and your secret Bratzie brothers and sisters will feel united! You know I love fashion, so I will keep changing it up. One Monday I may suggest we all wear green. Another Monday we may all wear our hair in side braids or wear our hats or belts sidewayz. Whaddya think? Rad, right?

We could also come up with a Kray-Z-Kool top-secret handshake and club password. Or a credo you must recite before becoming a full member, like:

“I swear to my Bratzie core, that I will always be a fab friend to any Bratzie in need, will always believe in myself and will always unleash my passion. I will always take a stand, stand out and stand for changing the world!”

Or something like that! Whaddya Bratzies think? Is there anything we are forgetting? Do you have any other ideas for our new club?

Ahhhhh! So much to do! So little time! We need your help!

REAL BRATZIES 4 LIFE!!!

Stay Stylin’

Safety While Surfin’!

OMG!!

I abso-TOTAL-lutely love talking with all of you, my BBFs (Best Bratzies Forever), over the Internet! Cloe, here, and it’s fo’ realz rad to be able to catch up with all my mains, who live all around the world! The Internet is an ah-mazing place, but you Bratzies must remember, staying safe is the key to having fun!

In my cheerleading squad, I had to learn all proper safety precautions so I didn’t hurt myself mid-cheer. No one likes to suffer an injury. Super-chanting B-R-A-T-Z would be way less awesome if I had to cheer while wearing a neck brace!

Security online is just as important. Lucky for us, safety is always stylish. Here are some tips on how to have a crazy cool time on the Internet and stay safe while surfin’.

1 – Never use your real name on the Internet. When creating usernames, make up fun nicknames to go by. If you have to put numbers in your username, don’t use your birthdate or age. My username is: Angel14. Angel is after the nickname my BBFs call me, and 14 is after the jersey number of my favorite soccer player, Abby Wambach!

2 – Never give out your home address, phone number, school name or passwords. This information is supposed to stay super secret. If anyone asks you for your real name, home address, phone number or secret passwords, sign out of the website ASAP! It’s not cool to ask kids for all their deets.

3 – Never agree to meet someone you met on the Internet without asking a parent first. Even if the person is a girl your age and has some super sweet and totally free make-up to give you. If one of your online friends asks you to meet them in the real world, let an adult know ASAP. Your parents will want to meet your cyber-sister online before deciding whether it’s cool to hang in person.

4 – If anyone starts using nasty language or says something that makes you uncomfortable, sign off immediately. A Real Bratz is never mean, even online. Instead of spending time talking to the rude dude, spend your time finding a new friend! Or coming over to the Bratz blog and talk to us! I always LOVE hearing from you!

5 – Just like you don’t want others to be mean to you, you should never be mean to others. Even online, please use nice language and be kind. Lately, the Bratz and I keep hearing stories about cyber bullying. Not cool, cyber bullies. Not cool.  Real Bratz stay positive, stand up for friends and never gang up on someone else. Even when they can stay anonymous on the Internet. If you see foul language or cyber bullying, tell an adult. The Internet should be a fab-fun place for everyone!

I know all these rules can seem totally lame because sometimes you make super awesome buddies online and you want to give them your information. I have a ton of fab friends that I’ve met on the web, but I still always make sure to play it safe. If you want to break any of these cyber safety rules, ask a parent first. They can determine if the situation is safe for sharing or not!

Now that we’ve gone over all the rules for safe cyber surfin’, I’m super psyched that you and I can hang out together in a safe online environment!!!

Do you Bratzies have any other tips I should know on how to keep out of harms way while browsing the web?

I was thinking of changing my username. Do you awesome Bratzies have any new username suggestions for me?

Love ya lots!

Jade’s Daylight Savings Survival Guide

Howzit hangin’, Bratzies?

Jade here, reminding all my rad BBFs it’s time to SPRING FORWARD into Daylight Savings time!!

Super early on Sunday, March 10, while we are still in dreamland, the clocks will jump forward an hour. This means we’ll get one hour less of sleep this weekend. Uber lame, right?

It also means the sun will rise and set an hour later, causing the mornings to be darker and the evenings to be lighter longer. If you’re like me, this change can totes mess with your sked. But have no fear, fellow Bratzies, I’ve got all the tips you need to get through this change unscathed. Introducing:

Jade’s Day Light Savings Survival Guide!!!

DARKER MORNINGS:

-       CHANGE YOUR WAKE-UP TUNES – If you have a crazy-hard time waking up for school when it’s dark outside, change your alarm clock radio to play a more upbeat station. Pick something that plays fun pop or dubstep. If your iPod hooks up to your alarm clock, make a bumpin’ exercise mix, with songs like, “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift. It’s sure to get your body moving and your bottom out of bed!

-       NATURAL MAKE-UP PALATE – Applying make-up in the dark can be super tricky. If your bathroom doesn’t have good light, try switching your color palate to neutrals. That way, if you accidentally put on too much eye shadow, no one will be able to tell!

-       PRE-PICK CLOTHES – It is totes easy to clash your colors when getting dressed in the dark. Don’t worry about embarrassing color coordinating confusion! Take advantage of the sun being out later and pick out your outfits the night before. You may even get to sleep in longer now that you won’t waste time staring at your closet, trying to decide what to wear!

-       FLASHLIGHT BEDAZZLEMENT- If you will be walking to school in the dark, try bedazzling a flashlight. This way you will be safe, and have an awesome looking accessory to go with your outfit. For a little extra fun, you can put a colored gel over the light to make it shine your signature color!

BRIGHTER EVENINGS:

-       BRING SUNSCREEN – After-school sports, like the cheerleading squad, will now be practicing in the sunlight. Be sure to bring and apply sunscreen!

-       BEDAZZLED BOTTLES -  Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! If the sun is beating down on your bod, it is a Bratzie must to replenish the H2O. Bedazzle a water bottle with your name and signature color. Even when you’re sweaty, you can still look stylin’!

-       RUNNING SHOES – Time to dust off the old running shoes. Now that it’s lighter longer, it should be safe to go for an after-school run or walk with your friends. Ask your parents first!

Dancing Daffodils

Namaste, Bratzies!

I’m blooming with excitement! Not only is March my birthday month, but its official flower is my personal fave: the wild daffodil!

I dig the wild daffodil for rivers of reasons. It’s bright, cheery and even though it’s usually yellow and white, the flower can be found in my signature color, pink! Also, scientists found a natural compound in the daffodil bulb that may help treat brain cancer! Bringing cheer and helping change the world totally makes the wild daffodil an honorary Real Bratz flower!

What I heart most about wild daffodils is that they energize my creativity by popping up out of nowhere. Just like my story ideas! I could totes chillax in a meadow of wild daffodils and write in my journal all day!

I’m not the only Real Bratz inspired by wild daffodils. English author, poet and diarist, Dorothy Mae Ann Wordsworth, wrote about stumbling upon tumbling daffodils while walking though the woods with her brother, famous poet William Wordsworth. Inspired by his sister’s journal entry, William Wordsworth wrote a super-famous poem about daffodils dancing in the breeze.

You can read the totally awesome poem here: https://wordsworth.org.uk/daffodils.html

Can you Bratzies tell me what your favorite flower is? Or tell me about the greatness your fave flower inspires in you!

Write on!

2013 NYE Resolutions

Bratz here to talk about 2013 resolutions for 2013! This seems to be something that everybody (especially our parents) always talks about at the end of every year. The way we understand it people pick a few things they’d like to improve on, do or do without for the next year and then they try really really really hard to stick to these goals. We think making resolutions for 2013 is a great idea, so we’re going to do it too. Here are some resolutions that we’re all going to set for ourselves –

  1. Spend more time happy and less time sad
  2. Smile more to people at school
  3. See something, say something – it is NOT Ok for people to be bullied
  4. Make the effort to get better grades at school
  5. Play outside more. Be active!
  6. Always be a friend – there is no need for enemies in life
  7. Hug our moms & dads more
  8. Read one book per month (not including school required books, silly friends)
  9. Drink more water and less soda
  10. When given the choice, always be kind

Will you join us in setting goals for 2013 with NYE Resolutions? Tell us what some of your NYE Resolutions are in a comment below!

Wishing all of you a very safe and fun New Year’s Eve! Bring in the New Year with a big smile because life is beautiful…and so are you!

Happy [Almost] 2013

Be Natural, Beauty!

Cloe on the Trends Blog today to talk about natural beauty. You all have it, Bratzies! Don’t cover it up with tons of makeup, instead let it shine through like the ray of sunshine you are! Makeup sure is a lot of fun to play with and wear, but you don’t have to wear tons of it to be pretty. I think the purpose of makeup is to highlight the pretty features you already have!

Here are a few simple makeup rules I follow to keep my natural beauty –

  1. Easy on the eyeliner – there is no need for all that black around your eyes. Try to use as little (or none) as possible
  2. Keep it simple – If you decide to wear eye shadow for a day, don’t wear lipstick (instead use a clear gloss or chapstick). If you want to have a bright lip (like pink or red), skip eye shadow for the day
  3. Give the natural look a try – save makeup for special occasions and not every day. Consider it the same as a new birthday or fancy dress in your closet. Only put it on sometimes.
  4. Face makeup is not necessary – you are probably too young to wear face makeup. I know I am. My mom doesn’t let me wear it because she says it’s a bad habit to start when young and I don’t need to cover up (or ruin) my pretty skin.
  5. ALWAYS wash your face – at the end of every day, be sure to clean off all the makeup and then give an extra wash on the face to keep skin healthy and glowing. Never, ever go to sleep with makeup

Personally, I love my bright blue eyes and would never want to put lots of eyeliner around it. What do you love about your face? Share positive comments about why you don’t need to wear so much makeup in a comment.

Be Natural, Beautiez.

Satchel Style

Hey there, Bratzies! Cloe here, and if you’re like me, you need a SERIOUS purse to hold all your makeup, your cell phone, journal, and anything else that could solve any possible issues at school, the mall, or even a dance! This Fall, the best bag there is to handle…well, EVERYTHING…is the stylin’ satchel bag.

Somewhere between a clutch and a shoulder bag, the satchel was made to be carried low by the handles, or worn high close to the body and around the shoulder. These bags are seriously roomy. I can fit my whole life in one of these, and thanks to its rounder shape, it doesn’t look bulky or clunky.

Plus, since it’s designed to be carried or worn close at hand, it’ll take less time to grab your cell phone out of it to put in a cute boy’s number!

Try coordinating the color of your satchel with the primary color of your accessories, such as your belt, shoes, or scarves – it’ll enhance those small doses of shade on your body and really make them POP! What would YOU put in your satchel before leaving the house?

Catch You Brazies Later!

Fall Into Summer

A cute floral Summer dress like this can be totally Fall-worthy with just the right accessories…swap out those heels for some ankle boots, and rock a dark turtleneck underneath!

Hey there, Bratzies! Yasmin here, and I don’t know about you, but I am SO not ready to stop wearing some of the cool clothes that I bought for the Summer! Just because it’s Autumn doesn’t mean our fun in the sun outfits have to “Fall” out of our closet.

It’s all about pairing some breezy-weather items with our tanning outfits. Got a cool silk tanktop? Wear that with some cool skinny jeans, high heels, and some big jewelry.

Still want to rock that floral-print sun dress? Add some ankle boots and a black turtleneck around you to tone down the Summer attitude into Fall cool.

Still want to show your legs in some cute jean shorts? Pair it with a motorcycle jacket and a long-sleeved dark-colored top.

It’s all about taking the best of both seasons and making it timeless! What Fall fashions do YOU plan to pair with your Summer classics?

Smart Style

See how a little preppy houndstooth pattern on my pants gives the outfit an edge without overpowering it? Give it a shot, schoolgirl!

Hello to all my Bratzie girls! Cloe here, and I’m getting ready to shop for some cool new plaid skirts so I can be prepared to go preppy!

The newest Fall trend calls for us ladies to start breaking out the school uniform-type clothes and accessories, such as cardigans, vests, knee socks, argyles, plaids, thick-framed glasses, and loafers–but with a stylish twist!

Try incorporating a preppy-type pattern or item into your usual outfits, like a houndstooth skirt or pants, or some argyle knee-socks with your favorite skirts.

It’s so awesome that dressing like you’re going to school can look so fabulous outside of school! What kind of prep-tacular accessories or clothes do you plan to try out?

That’s all for now…stay looking SMART, Bratzie girls!

Fall Fashion Goes Flat

Sculpted heels are awesome, but sometimes fashion needs both feet FLAT on the ground!

Hello my Bratzies! Your Funky Fashion girl Meygan here, getting ready to head back to school in a totally trendy way! This Fall has me thinking outside the box…the shoebox, that is! While I am all about the sky-high heels, a fashionista on the go needs to give her feet and back a rest now and then, which is why I am so totally stoked about the upcoming Fall trend – flirty flat shoes!

They go well with any skirts or skinny jeans, and can be as dressy or casual as you need them to be. Plus, you can throw them on super-fast if you’re running late for class, and make the mad dash to homeroom in no time without worrying about tripping in front of any cute boys! Make your first attempt at flats a bold one…try shimmery, sparkly fabric, or open-toed with a bright toenail polish.

Remember Bratzies, fashion goes a lot farther when you’re comfortable, so make that step back into class a smooth one! What kind of flats would you wear on your first day back?
