Mother’s Day

We love our mamas!

Mother’s Day is all about showing your appreciation for the leading lady in your life! There are tons of fierce wayz to show your devotion. Sometimes it means making mom a fab breakfast in bed, sometimes it means giving mom full access to your wardrobe. (Eep!)

How do you show mom you heart her?

DIY Stylez

Hey y’all!

I’m soooo bummin’! I totes forgot it was supposed to rain and I destroyed my new shoes in an epic puddle. Ugh! I don’t even own rain boots!

Luckily, Jade saved the day with a scorchin’ idea. She suggested making DIY boots by using funky colored duct tape on my old sneakers!

Have you ever made anything awesome with duct tape?

Passover and Easter mean family, friends, food and FASHION! We love getting all sparkly and drama-fied for a night on the town just as much as we like toning it down to look pretty and respectful for the holidays.

Have you thrown a bunch of potential outfits on your bed yet? Let us know what you’re going to wear. And if you are going to rock an Easter bonnet, you MUST tell us!!

Happy holidays, everyone!

Everyone knows how to layer your clothes when it starts getting cool outside, but no one ever talks about how to layer your clothes when it starts getting warm!

Adorbs spring dresses with leggings and boots. Cute tanks with long-sleeved shirts underneath.

March MADAMness

Howzit hangin’, Bratzies??

Kool Kat Jade here, and I am totally stoked that March Madness has begun! I HEART watching the college basketball tournament because, seriously, March Madness is, like, the best soap opera ever! Heart are broken! Underdogs rise! Crazy plot twists! Sick stunts! Heroes fall and newbies save the day! For realz, there is nothin’ as fun as filling out your bracket, kickin’ it in front of the TV and watching awesomely athletic girls work their magic up and down the court. Yes, I said girls!

It drives me absolutely cray that most people only pay attention to the DUDES during March Madness! Most colleges have both men’s and women’s basketball teams. Both male and female athletes participate in this killer tournament. The same blood, sweat and tears are left on the court no matter what your gender is! So why, oh why, do most peeps only watch the male teams??

I know that basketball was traditionally a guy sport, but so were a lot of things, like skateboarding and surfing. That doesn’t mean they have to stay that way! Take me, for example, you KNOW this Kool Kat can ride a blade as sweet as any boy! Pushing your limits, soaking in an adrenaline and challenging yourself is boss! And not at all gender specific! Girl power!!

So this month, in honor of March being Women in History Month, let’s all commit to watching the women’s basketball games, too! Instead of March MANness, we’ll celebrate March MADAMness! A true Bratzie knows that girlz can do anything guys can do! We can play ball just as well as we can cheerlead for our sistaz playin’ ball. Am I Right??

Let’s prove it!

St. Patrick’s Day Fashion

Kiss me, I’m Irish!

It’s almost St. Paddy’s Day so we MUST discuss holiday fashion. Long gone are the days when Bare Naked Ladies sang about how buying someone a green dress is cruel. (Ask your parents to download the oldie, “If I had a Million Dollars” from iTunes. It’s adorbs.) Now green is fashion supreme. Especially on March 17th!

I HEART trying out new looks for the holidays. Below are the styles that I’m OB-to-the-SESSED with!

1 – St. Paddy eyeliner: Use bright green eye shadow on your upper and lower line. Then smudge for a smokey fun feel! When you’re done, use the eyeliner to draw a small four-leaf clover at the corner of your eye. So cute!

2 – Paint your nails green, but paint your thumb white. Once the paint on your thumbs has dried, use a toothpick to draw a green four-leaf clover!

3 – The fashion bold will use green make-up glitter to coat their eyebrows. Use a skinny brush to make clear and full brow lines. LOVE this look!

4 – Add green-dyed hair extensions to your ‘do. If you don’t have access to hair extensions, green ribbons in your locks will look totally cute!

If these St. Paddy’s Day looks are too bold for you, just make sure your wear SOMETHING green! You don’t want to get pinched by a leprechaun, do you???

How are you dressing up on March 17th?

XOXO

Women’s History Month

It’s Women’s History Month! I love reading about all the great women of the ages who worked hard to create the freedoms we have today. I am currently OB-to-the-SESSED with Susan B. Anthony!

She was SUPER into civil reform. At only 17 years old, she rebelled against society by collecting Anti-Slavery petitions! I love, LoVe, LOVE that a high school aged kid was out there, bucking the system and trying to make a difference for the greater good!

Susan B. Anthony’s first passion was ending slavery, but in her early thirties she extended her passion for equal rights to include the fight for women. She believed the pen is mightier than the sword (just like me!!) and started her publishing own women’s rights newspaper, called “Revolution.”

She was often ridiculed for her views because they did not represent the current beliefs of the day. However, Susan B. Anthony fought hard every day of her life for what she knew was good, right and true. As a result of her awesome efforts, she helped end slavery and bring about the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote.

She is sooooooo FABnomenal!!!

Have you ever had to stand up and fight for something you believe in?
