Happy New Year

Happy New Year, Bratzos!!

Have you come up with a New Year’s Resolution? My original resolution was to be fabulous. But then Jade pointed out that  I am already fabulous! LOL!!

My new New Year’s Resolution is to really commit to pursuing my passions! And not just one passion; all of them! It’s a new year and I am ready to unleash my passion onto the world!

You Bratzies may remember that back in the summer I wanted to follow my dream of becoming a star, but was too afraid to go after it.  (Read my old blog about it here:

http://blog.bratz.com/house-of-bratz-5-12-13

Yasmin was so sweet and told me she had my back. She encouraged me to fight for my passions, and now, in 2014, I’m going to! It’s time to stop letting fear get in my way. If you never try, you will never succeed, right?

This year, I’m going to be bold, be brave and make my friends proud! Who’s with me?!? Let’s start a revolution of passionistas!

Winter Break Fun

Hi y’all!

Are you having a super fun Holiday break from work and school?

We are!

At first, Jade was a little bummed because it is WAY too cold to go outside. But then Yasmin suggested we all hang out around the fire and read our awesome interactive comic books!  Sasha and I think Yas recommended reading because the My Passion comic book is all about her being the most epically awesome DJ of all time! Yasmin insists she thought of the idea simply because she loves to read.

Either way, it’s still been super fun! We make, like, buckets of hot cocoa, start a fire, turn on some fresh tunes and take turns using my tablet. The games in the interactive comic are so rad to play! Sasha rocked an amazing beat in the DJ game. And Jade styled my hair so hilariously in the My Stylez comic book, that we were rolling on the floor laughing for, like, 20 minutes!

Have you read and played our fab interactive comics yet? You can find them right here, on our website, under GAMES.

Peppermint Cookies

What’z the Happenin’z, Bratzianz?

I love the holidays!  Not only do I get to repurpose my rad Costume Bash outfit (Hello, it’s perfect for holiday parties!), but the sights and smells of the season really get me stoked! Especially the smell of warm cookies baking in my oven.

I love to bake cookies. And baking cookies that match my outfit is beyond trendsetter-rad!

Here is my recipe for peppermint cookies. Inspired by my fabtacular Holiday look!

Get your parents to help you make these delish snacks.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon mint extract

1-2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies

1/4 cup sugar, for coating

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
   2. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and mint extract in large bowl. Beat batter until creamy. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Beat batter again until well mixed.
   3. Stir 1/4 cup crushed candy into dough.
4. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup crushed candy in separate bowl.
    5. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls; roll in sugar/candy mixture to coat. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
6. Take out to cool

Don’t forget to save some for friends and Santa!

Happy holidays!

DIY Holiday Gift Crowns

Namaste, Bratzies

Are you in need of some OM-mazing gift ideas for your BBFs? I’m making my besties flower crowns! It’s super easy, cheap and beyond fab. Giving D.I.Y. holidays gifts is the ZENsible thing to do!

Ask a parent for help.

Here’s what you need:

- Headband

- Silk flowers (We like getting silk mistletoe for the season, but you can use any type of flower you like!)

- Glue (A hot glue gun works best if you can get your parents to help!)

Now all you need to do is…:

Glue the flowers on to the headband! Voila! The look, feel and vibe is totally unique to you! I’m sure the end result will be OM-mazing!

To get more into the season, you can use dried flowers to decorate barrettes!

Simply glue dried baby’s breath and pussy willows to the tops of barrettes! For added awesome, keep the branches attached. It will enhance the ethereal look.

So fab for the holidays!

Let me know how is goes!

XOXO

Holiday Cards

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!

‘Tis the season for corny Holiday Cards.  You know what I’m talking about, the ones with pictures of you and your family on the front.  The whole ordeal has so much drama-rama! Parents dragging you to the mall, putting you and your siblings in matching sweaters, and having to smile in front of a cheesy backdrop. All this drama, just so your parents can send that photograph Christmas card to all your friends and family, letting them know what kind of grades you got in school this year. (Shudder!)

Not to be a Grinch, but those photo cards are a big Bah Humbug!

This year, the  Bratz and I are making our own Holiday cards! We think you should, too!!

Here’s how to do it the Bratzie way:

Get your group of girls together and raid each other’s closets for the most fabulous or outrageous outfits imagineable! Don’t be afraid to get silly! Wigs! Shoulder pads! Your mom’s ratty old slippers from the 1980s!

Dress up in all the hilarious mix ‘n match styles and then ask your parents or older siblings to take awesome group photos of you with your besties!

Next, download the FREE Bratz Cam App.  You can get to it here:

http://www.bratz.com/en-us/section/games

This will let you add fabulous fierceness to your photos by enhancing them with our awesome filters, borders and stickers!

Last, take the final photo and show it to your parents. When they go to print their holiday cards, ask them to print you 20 of your own holiday cards with your fab photo on the front for you to hand out to your friends at school!

Last, decorate your locker or cubby hole with the fab holiday card so you can remember that fun day with your friends all year long!

XOXO

MOvember

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!!

Sasha here, and I want to talk to you about the hottest autumn trend. Moustaches are in! And they’re not just for hipsters. Not during the month of November, anyway.

This November, help raise awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, by joining in the epically fabulous, MOvember.

Movember stands for “moustache November.” Men who are supporting the cause, grow their moustaches for the entire month of November. But you don’t have to be a dude to dive into all the dramarama. You know this Queen Bee isn’t giving up an opportunity to rock the latest look!

Mo-Bros may have it easier by simply letting their facial hair grow, but Mo-Sistas have many options to help the cause and look fab doing it!

Here are a few ways Mo-Sistas can celebrate Movember:

1: The Finger-Stache.

Simply place your pointer finger above your upper lip to look like a moustache. Whenever you see a Mo-Bro, make your finger-stache to show your support!

2: The Pony-Stache

Use your own hair or ponytail and pull it around to front of your face to act as a moustache!

3: Jewelry-Stache:

Check out these ultra fab sunglasses and fabnomenal ring! Some moustache jewelry even donates a part of their proceeds to men’s cancers research! Check before you buy! Shopping is so much more fun when you’re helping peeps at the same time! Am I right?

4: Nail-Staches

For an easy and free moustache look, you can always paint on your stache! This way, you can never leave your look somewhere or forget it at home! You’ll be supporting the cause 24/7!

5: Stache-on-a-Stick

Cut out a moustache in your fave construction paper color and tape it to a straw for an easy, no-drama moustache.

Lock-or-Treat

Namaste, Bratzies!

Trick-or-Treating is just around the corner! I know all our fashion savvy Bratzies have come up with their totally fab costumes by now, but have you decorated your locker yet?

Lock-Or-Treating is one of my most fave things to do! Throughout the day on Halloween, you stop by your besties lockers. Each friend participating stores some delish snacks to pass out to their BBFs! Taking the time to hang out at my friends’ lockers is super fun, but the most OM-mazing part of Lock-Or-Treating is decorating your locker!

Last year, I covered the outside and inside of my locker with fake spider webs. Every friend who stopped by got to take home one of the plastic spider rings hanging in the web!  I also carved a fab fake foam pumpkin and left an LED light in it to light up my foam pumpkin like a real Jack O’lantern!

OMG! I almost forgot to tell you, we made a pumpkin carving printable of my face!! Now you and the rest of my besties can carve a Yas-O-Lantern!! Download the pumpkin carving printable here:

http://www.bratz.com/scripts/en-us/downloads/printable/bratz_yasmin_pumpkin.pdf

This year, I think I will keep my locker decor on theme with my costume. I will wallpaper the inside with cow print and cut-outs of total cutie country stars.

Do you have any FABnomenal or ZENSible ideas on how to decorate your locker? Let me know! And be sure to check with your school if it’s cool to Lock-Or-Treat.

Can’t wait to hear all about it!!

XOXO

Halloween Safety Glam

Hi Y’all!

Cloe here! I am    totes stoked about Halloween. I know last week my bestie, Jade, told you all about how to look scary-glam for Trick-or-Treating, but she left one very important deet! Accessories!!

Luckily for you, my beloved Bratzies, accessories are totally my thing!!

The cool thing about Halloween, is that you accessorize your look with almost anything!! Just like Jade said last week, it’s srsly trending to add a little bling to your wicked. Since most of us will be Trick-or-Treating at night, I like to accessorize with wicked cool lights!

Here are my must-haves:

Angel’s Scorchin’ Accessories for a Cool Halloween

Glow Sticks: There are a ton of ways to incorporate glow sticks into your look. Last year, I saw a girl tape a glow stick to the end of her witch wand and it made the wand look like it was glowing mid-spell-cast! Sooo fab!! I like the wear the glow sticks as a necklace because it leaves an eerie glow on your face. Or I throw a ton of sticks in the pillow case I use to collect candy. It makes my whole bag glow!

Reflector Tape: Chillax, I’m not talking about wearing a crossing guard uniform. (Unless that’s what you are for Halloween!!) But there are fierce ways to accesorize with reflector tape. You can use it to write your initials in big letters on the back of a witch or superhero cape. Make some of your mummy bandages glow so follks see your gruesome self coming and have time to run!! Haha! Or, my personal fave, cover the base of your princess tiara, (or Hippie Headband!!) so everyone can’t help but see royalty is headed their way!

Glow in the Dark Nail Polish and Lip Stick: I’m ob-to-the-sessed with glow in the dark make up! The best part is, the nail polish and lip stick are usually clear, so you can put it over whatever face make up you are already wearing with your costume!! I go totally cray for the lipstick. It makes me feel like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The first thing people will see of me is my smile! How fab is that??

Do you have any other ideas on how to accessorize with light? Let me know! And tell me how you are incorporating it into your fabtastic costumes!!

Love you all!!

xoxo

Halloween Goes Glam

What’z the hapz, Bratz?!

Jade here!! And I am totally geeking out because Haloween is almost here. It is, like, the most radtacular holiday ever!! Can you Bratzies guess what my favorite part is: dressing up!

This year is all about bringing the “glam” to the “quirky kool.” It’s super easy to do! Just think of whatever it spooky creature you want to be for Halloween and then glam-i-fy it!

Picture this:

Glam Monster-

A terrifying monster rockin’ a rad neon green feather boa and a fierce set of heels! Just because you were born in a swamp doesn’t mean you can’t have style!

Glam Witch-

A spooky witch with tinsel extensions, a mirrored belt and dazzling faux-diamonds. You won’t know if people are more spellbound by your wicked potions or by your signature fashion statement.

Glam Zombie-

A disgusting zombie who offsets her craving for brains with a crimson dress and ruby slippers. Why be the “walking” undead when you can be the “strutting” undead?

See? Glam-i-fying your costume is totally fun and totally easy!! There are a ton of rad combos you can create that I haven’t even thought of!!

The other kickin’ Halloween trend this year is doing the total opposite. Start glam and add a tad of gross!

Start off your look as a seriously gorge princess, fairy or Prom Queen… then add vampire teeth!

The best part about these mix ’n’ match costumes is that they are totally D.I.Y.! You can create a ton of looks from what you already have in your closets!

Tell me what you are going to be for Halloween!! I know whatever you pick with be totally krazy kool!!

xoxo

LAST COMIC BOOK INSTALLMENT – PASSIONVIEW OLYMPICS

Our Heroez have tried EVERYTHING to relight the Olympic Torch: lighters, blow torches, birthday candles. But nothing is working!!

Is this the end for the Passionview Olympics?

Once again, all the people of Passionview came together to hold the Olympic Torch.

“The Olympics are all about uniting the land,” said Shira. “Once we’ve come together, I’m sure the flame will reignite!”

After all the people of Passionview held the smoldering torch, Yasmin used her Super Twirl to kick up sparks and reignite the torch. But it didn’t work!!

“Oh no!” said Yasmin. “Something is wrong! The Olympic Torch still won’t catch fire!”

Cloe said:

Evilla was ELATED to found out the city of Passionview needed her and came as quickly as she could.

“I’m here. I’m here. Do not fret, citizens. I, Evilla Vanderbelt, will hold the Olympic Torch and save the Passionview Olympics. Bring out the balloons! Start the parade!”

“OK,” said Yasmin. “I hope this works!”

Yasmin, once again, used her Super Twirl. Sparks flew through the air! Immediately, the Olympic Torch went up in flames!

The people of Passionview rejoiced. As a community, along with Evilla, they carried the flame to the Passionview Arena and lit the Official Olympic Cauldron for the games to begin!
