Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit

Yo, Bratzies!!

I am so totally jazzed! It’s my fave time of year: PROM SEASON!!! Going to Prom is a total dream come true, but it can turn into a total nightmare if you’re not prepared!!

Introducing Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit. Throw these diva-licious items into your clutch for a surefire fab night of fun and friends!!

SASHA’S PROM NIGHT SURVIVAL KIT:

FOLD-UP FLATS: You Bratzies know how much I love my fierce heels, but it’s hard to rock that look and keep pace with a full night of dancing! Even a diva like me won’t pass up on fun for the sake of fashion. Luckily, we don’t have to! You can buy totally adorable flats that fold up to fit into any purse. Bring these along to ensure your feet don’t get tired before you do!

BLOT PADS: Girls, I know you spent a ton of time perfecting your prom make-up. Last thing you want to do is have it smudge and smear while wiping perspiration from your brow! Save the flawless look you created by bringing along some blot pads. You can blot away the sweat without any cosmetic fret.

BOBBY PINS: Let’s be honest, by the end of Prom, your hair will be a mess. Keep your lovely locks in presentable order – at least until you take your Prom photos! – by stashing away some extra bobby pins.

GUM/BREATH MINTS: You will spend the night trying to chat with your BBFs by screaming over the band or DJ. Make sure your friends are happy to get up close and personal by keeping mints handy. Double bonus: your breath will be fresh when talking to boyz!!

STRING: When you’re tired of wearing your corsage or flower crown, a little bit of string can go a long way to preserve your Prom memories! How you ask? Use that string to hang your fab Prom flower pieces upside down and dry them! Remember to do this as soon as you take off the floral pieces. A wilted flower is way harder to dry and preserve!

CASH AND I.D.: Even if you don’t plan on going anywhere after the dance it’s way smart to stash some cash and your I.D.  If you’re anything like this Drama Queen, you will be totally famished and dying to get some grub before heading home. Bringing your wallet ensures you won’t miss out on any post-Prom fun, or get stuck eating mom’s meatless meatloaf leftovers as your midnight snack.

EVER PURSE: 27-year-old Real Bratz Liz Salcedo has come to our Prom aid with a promtastic new clutch! Her EverPurse (https://everpurse.com/) has a built in phone charger!! Now you can promenade without worrying about losing tabs with your besties because of a low battery life or tripping over silly charger wires while trying to boogie down with your BBFs!! Plus, the clutches are totally adorbs!

And lastly, PHONE PLAYLIST: Make a totally rockin’ Prom Playlist on your phone. Not only can the fun jams help get you pumped while prepping for Prom, they can keep the fab energy going while hangin’ with your besties after the dance.

BONUS TIPS:

Drink plenty of water. Perfect the “selfie.” And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, do not be afraid to dance like the rock stars I know you are! Dance like no one is looking! Dance like everyone is looking!! Just dance!!

This is YOUR time. YOUR year. YOUR memory for the rest of YOUR life. Love your friends. Love yourself. And I know you will have a totally fabtastic evening.

I can’t wait to hear all about your totally amazing Proms!!

XOXO

P.S. If you’re NOT going to Prom this year, consider throwing an ANTI-PROM or DUCT TAPE PROM!!! Make your DIY prom into anything you want it to be!! It’s a totally fun way to spend a night with your BBFs!!

Safety While Surfin’!

OMG!!

I abso-TOTAL-lutely love talking with all of you, my BBFs (Best Bratzies Forever), over the Internet! Cloe, here, and it’s fo’ realz rad to be able to catch up with all my mains, who live all around the world! The Internet is an ah-mazing place, but you Bratzies must remember, staying safe is the key to having fun!

In my cheerleading squad, I had to learn all proper safety precautions so I didn’t hurt myself mid-cheer. No one likes to suffer an injury. Super-chanting B-R-A-T-Z would be way less awesome if I had to cheer while wearing a neck brace!

Security online is just as important. Lucky for us, safety is always stylish. Here are some tips on how to have a crazy cool time on the Internet and stay safe while surfin’.

1 – Never use your real name on the Internet. When creating usernames, make up fun nicknames to go by. If you have to put numbers in your username, don’t use your birthdate or age. My username is: Angel14. Angel is after the nickname my BBFs call me, and 14 is after the jersey number of my favorite soccer player, Abby Wambach!

2 – Never give out your home address, phone number, school name or passwords. This information is supposed to stay super secret. If anyone asks you for your real name, home address, phone number or secret passwords, sign out of the website ASAP! It’s not cool to ask kids for all their deets.

3 – Never agree to meet someone you met on the Internet without asking a parent first. Even if the person is a girl your age and has some super sweet and totally free make-up to give you. If one of your online friends asks you to meet them in the real world, let an adult know ASAP. Your parents will want to meet your cyber-sister online before deciding whether it’s cool to hang in person.

4 – If anyone starts using nasty language or says something that makes you uncomfortable, sign off immediately. A Real Bratz is never mean, even online. Instead of spending time talking to the rude dude, spend your time finding a new friend! Or coming over to the Bratz blog and talk to us! I always LOVE hearing from you!

5 – Just like you don’t want others to be mean to you, you should never be mean to others. Even online, please use nice language and be kind. Lately, the Bratz and I keep hearing stories about cyber bullying. Not cool, cyber bullies. Not cool.  Real Bratz stay positive, stand up for friends and never gang up on someone else. Even when they can stay anonymous on the Internet. If you see foul language or cyber bullying, tell an adult. The Internet should be a fab-fun place for everyone!

I know all these rules can seem totally lame because sometimes you make super awesome buddies online and you want to give them your information. I have a ton of fab friends that I’ve met on the web, but I still always make sure to play it safe. If you want to break any of these cyber safety rules, ask a parent first. They can determine if the situation is safe for sharing or not!

Now that we’ve gone over all the rules for safe cyber surfin’, I’m super psyched that you and I can hang out together in a safe online environment!!!

Do you Bratzies have any other tips I should know on how to keep out of harms way while browsing the web?

I was thinking of changing my username. Do you awesome Bratzies have any new username suggestions for me?

Love ya lots!

Jade’s Daylight Savings Survival Guide

Howzit hangin’, Bratzies?

Jade here, reminding all my rad BBFs it’s time to SPRING FORWARD into Daylight Savings time!!

Super early on Sunday, March 10, while we are still in dreamland, the clocks will jump forward an hour. This means we’ll get one hour less of sleep this weekend. Uber lame, right?

It also means the sun will rise and set an hour later, causing the mornings to be darker and the evenings to be lighter longer. If you’re like me, this change can totes mess with your sked. But have no fear, fellow Bratzies, I’ve got all the tips you need to get through this change unscathed. Introducing:

Jade’s Day Light Savings Survival Guide!!!

DARKER MORNINGS:

-       CHANGE YOUR WAKE-UP TUNES – If you have a crazy-hard time waking up for school when it’s dark outside, change your alarm clock radio to play a more upbeat station. Pick something that plays fun pop or dubstep. If your iPod hooks up to your alarm clock, make a bumpin’ exercise mix, with songs like, “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift. It’s sure to get your body moving and your bottom out of bed!

-       NATURAL MAKE-UP PALATE – Applying make-up in the dark can be super tricky. If your bathroom doesn’t have good light, try switching your color palate to neutrals. That way, if you accidentally put on too much eye shadow, no one will be able to tell!

-       PRE-PICK CLOTHES – It is totes easy to clash your colors when getting dressed in the dark. Don’t worry about embarrassing color coordinating confusion! Take advantage of the sun being out later and pick out your outfits the night before. You may even get to sleep in longer now that you won’t waste time staring at your closet, trying to decide what to wear!

-       FLASHLIGHT BEDAZZLEMENT- If you will be walking to school in the dark, try bedazzling a flashlight. This way you will be safe, and have an awesome looking accessory to go with your outfit. For a little extra fun, you can put a colored gel over the light to make it shine your signature color!

BRIGHTER EVENINGS:

-       BRING SUNSCREEN – After-school sports, like the cheerleading squad, will now be practicing in the sunlight. Be sure to bring and apply sunscreen!

-       BEDAZZLED BOTTLES -  Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! If the sun is beating down on your bod, it is a Bratzie must to replenish the H2O. Bedazzle a water bottle with your name and signature color. Even when you’re sweaty, you can still look stylin’!

-       RUNNING SHOES – Time to dust off the old running shoes. Now that it’s lighter longer, it should be safe to go for an after-school run or walk with your friends. Ask your parents first!
