It’s All About You!

Yo Yo Yo Bratzos!

All the world’s a stage and YOU are the lead role in your own production.

That’s right. The drama mama! The queen bee! The drama queen!

That’s why this week we want to hear from you!! Tell us, what do you want to talk about? What interests you? What worries you? What would you like to see us write blogs about? And what topics are you totally over. Like, seriously over.

Should we talk boyz? Celebrities? Every day hometown heroes? Fashion? About our doll line and new products? Music? Movies? Webshows? It can be anything! There are no wrong answers!

What are your faves? What are your hates?

It’s a new year, and in 2014 we want to focus on our Bratzies!!

Can’t wait to hear from ya!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, Bratzos!!

Have you come up with a New Year’s Resolution? My original resolution was to be fabulous. But then Jade pointed out that  I am already fabulous! LOL!!

My new New Year’s Resolution is to really commit to pursuing my passions! And not just one passion; all of them! It’s a new year and I am ready to unleash my passion onto the world!

You Bratzies may remember that back in the summer I wanted to follow my dream of becoming a star, but was too afraid to go after it.  (Read my old blog about it here:

http://blog.bratz.com/house-of-bratz-5-12-13

Yasmin was so sweet and told me she had my back. She encouraged me to fight for my passions, and now, in 2014, I’m going to! It’s time to stop letting fear get in my way. If you never try, you will never succeed, right?

This year, I’m going to be bold, be brave and make my friends proud! Who’s with me?!? Let’s start a revolution of passionistas!

Want to find out which passion profession you are best suited for? Take our awesome My Passion Aptitude test:

Find it on our website, under the GAMES section!

Tell me which passion profession you got, and tell me your New Year’s Resolution!

Holiday Cards

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!

‘Tis the season for corny Holiday Cards.  You know what I’m talking about, the ones with pictures of you and your family on the front.  The whole ordeal has so much drama-rama! Parents dragging you to the mall, putting you and your siblings in matching sweaters, and having to smile in front of a cheesy backdrop. All this drama, just so your parents can send that photograph Christmas card to all your friends and family, letting them know what kind of grades you got in school this year. (Shudder!)

Not to be a Grinch, but those photo cards are a big Bah Humbug!

This year, the  Bratz and I are making our own Holiday cards! We think you should, too!!

Here’s how to do it the Bratzie way:

Get your group of girls together and raid each other’s closets for the most fabulous or outrageous outfits imagineable! Don’t be afraid to get silly! Wigs! Shoulder pads! Your mom’s ratty old slippers from the 1980s!

Dress up in all the hilarious mix ‘n match styles and then ask your parents or older siblings to take awesome group photos of you with your besties!

Next, download the FREE Bratz Cam App.  You can get to it here:

http://www.bratz.com/en-us/section/games

This will let you add fabulous fierceness to your photos by enhancing them with our awesome filters, borders and stickers!

Last, take the final photo and show it to your parents. When they go to print their holiday cards, ask them to print you 20 of your own holiday cards with your fab photo on the front for you to hand out to your friends at school!

Last, decorate your locker or cubby hole with the fab holiday card so you can remember that fun day with your friends all year long!

XOXO

MOvember

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!!

Sasha here, and I want to talk to you about the hottest autumn trend. Moustaches are in! And they’re not just for hipsters. Not during the month of November, anyway.

This November, help raise awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, by joining in the epically fabulous, MOvember.

Movember stands for “moustache November.” Men who are supporting the cause, grow their moustaches for the entire month of November. But you don’t have to be a dude to dive into all the dramarama. You know this Queen Bee isn’t giving up an opportunity to rock the latest look!

Mo-Bros may have it easier by simply letting their facial hair grow, but Mo-Sistas have many options to help the cause and look fab doing it!

Here are a few ways Mo-Sistas can celebrate Movember:

1: The Finger-Stache.

Simply place your pointer finger above your upper lip to look like a moustache. Whenever you see a Mo-Bro, make your finger-stache to show your support!

2: The Pony-Stache

Use your own hair or ponytail and pull it around to front of your face to act as a moustache!

3: Jewelry-Stache:

Check out these ultra fab sunglasses and fabnomenal ring! Some moustache jewelry even donates a part of their proceeds to men’s cancers research! Check before you buy! Shopping is so much more fun when you’re helping peeps at the same time! Am I right?

4: Nail-Staches

For an easy and free moustache look, you can always paint on your stache! This way, you can never leave your look somewhere or forget it at home! You’ll be supporting the cause 24/7!

5: Stache-on-a-Stick

Cut out a moustache in your fave construction paper color and tape it to a straw for an easy, no-drama moustache.

Do you Bratzies have any other fabulous ways of supporting our Mo-Bros? Share your Mo-Sistas ideas with me below!

Candy Fashion!

Yo yo yo Bratzos!!

Sasha here! I had a howlin’ Halloween!

My favorite part of Trick or Treating is that it’s a total drama-rama smorgasbord! And I’m not talking about all the yummy candy. Nor am I referring to the cool costumes. I mean, Halloween rocks because it gives you a door-to-door buffet line of fun fashion possibilities!

Don’t follow what I’m saying?

Here’s a picture to help you get the picture!

Halloween hooks me up with all the candy (and candy wrappers!) I need to make sweet jewelry and purses! And you can make these confectionary fashion statements, too. It’s totes easy peasy.

Here is a fabtastic blog I found on making Bratztastic bracelets:

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-A-Bracelet-Out-Of-Candy-Wrappers/

If chunky jewelry isn’t really your thing and your looking for a dramatic fashion statement, read this great blog on making boss bags from candy wrappers:

http://iwannanewbag.blogspot.com/2007/04/purses-made-from-candy-wrappers-etc.html

Everyone will be asking you where you got the look!

Remember, these fashion statements take some time to make, so you don’t have to gorge on all your candy at once! Just chew as you go! Create as you salivate! It’s too fab!!

Do you have any suggestions on any other fab fashions you can make from your Halloween swag?

Love ya lots!

XOXO

New School Year, New YOU Year

Yo, yo, yo, Bratzos!

A new school year is upon us and I have a feelin’ it’s gonna be scorchin’!

Every August/September, school starts up again and we get the awesome opportunity to reinvent ourselves. Don’t let yourself feel bogged by the person you used to be! Embrace the new you!!

Summer changes people! (Especially if you took part in our #UnleashYourSummer Bucket List!! No one can challenge herself, face her fears and have the most epic summer of all time and NOT change!!) We grow. We mature. We get a break from school and a chance to sit back and re-evaluate who we are. Then decide for ourselves if there are any changes we want to make.  Summer means change!

Do you want to try and be more outgoing? More bold? Do you want to make new friends? Or pare down your group to spend more time with your true besties? Do you want to experiment with new fashions? Hairstyles? Or a new nickname?

This year, aspire to put an end to any of the drama-rama in your life and commit to being fab-a-lish. If you don’t know what to do, Bunny Boo has got the tips for you!

Follow these three steps for a school year you will never forget! YOLO!!

1- Recite.Remind. Repeat.

Recite my motto: New School Year, New YOU Year!

Take this to heart. Every new year gives you a chance to explore new sides of yourself! Have you always wanted to try out for the cheerleading team, drama club or MATHletes, but were too afraid of what your friends would think or that you wouldn’t get in? Now is the time! Be fierce! If you don’t make the club, at least you tried! And if your friends give you grief, then they weren’t very good friends to begin with! Talk to that boy you were always nervous to speak to. Try that super short bob cut that you always secretly thought was too cute. Challenge yourself to be the person you want to be. The person you know you are inside. A new school year = A new YOU year. Go for it!! We know you rock; now show the world!!

2 –  Meet Locker

It can be super easy to stay in your comfort zone, but playing it safe means you never play to win! For the most epic school year ever, challenge yourself to meet new peeps. Join fab-a-lish student clubs, hit up the football games, and be a part of the Homecoming dance committee. You never know what cool people you might meet. And REMEMBER: go in with an open mind. Summer didn’t only change you, it changed your classmates, too. Everyone deserves the right to start fresh in the new school year. If there are people in your new club that you never clicked with, give them each a new chance. If you see that they haven’t changed, go back to simply being polite, but staying clear. You never know, they may surprise you! Summer may have turned them into rad new peeps you could totally be besties with!! Maybe they are just looking for someone to give them a chance!!!

3 – Confidence Couture

To show off the new you, get a new ‘do. Head back to school rockin’ your fab new style. Sadly, people can’t see the internal changes you have made over the summer. They can’t see your commitment to be more outgoing and try new things. They can’t see your open mind. They can’t see that you had an epic summer of facing your fears. What they CAN see, is your fierce new look. Find a style and haircut that compliments your new, true personality. Make sure it is authentic to who you are so you feel comfortable rockin’ the look every day. When people see your scorchin’ new style, they will be more open to seeing the new you!! It’s not just about your first day look, it’s about your new confidence couture!

Can’t wait to hear all about my little divas rockin’ this new school year!!

Stay fabulous!!

xoxo

Join in our Bratz Slumber Party!!!

Yo, Yo, Yo Bratzos!

Have you heard the FABULOUS news? We are having a SLUMBER PARTY!!!

This is seriously going to be the most fab-a-lish thing we have ever done!!

Graduation Fashion

Yo, yo, yo Bratzos!

Sasha here, and today I am totally jazzed to talk about my biggest passion: fashion! Our Bratzies have been buzzin’ and buggin’ about what to wear for graduation! With all this Pomp and Circumstance do you wear pumps or strappy sandals? Fear not, my army of Bratzies! I have all the fashion advice you need to walk across that graduation stage in style.

Black Gown Goes to Neon Town

If you feel like you are celebrating your big moment in a big black potato sack, it’s time to turn your bummin’ attitude into Brattitude! First of all, black-and-white is totally on trend! Think of your graduation gown as an L.B.D. (Little Black Dress) and accessorize accordingly! We say, bring on the neon! Pink dangly earrings, green chunky bracelets or fab-a-licious neon yellow heels will turn your diploma photo op into a fashion statement!

Bling Down the House

Another sure fire way to turn that graduation frown upside down is to bling out your gown! Add some fierce shoulder studs or a skinny sparkly sash for a glammed up graduation. (First make sure it is cool with your school!)

Tip of the Hat

Even if you can’t tamper with your gown, most schools let you color on your cap. Use whiteout to produce a trendy b&w pattern that pops. Glue on some flowers to turn your formal cap into a flower crown. Dip the cap in glitter for a sashay across the stage that sparkles and shines. Or let your style make a statement by using neon nail polish to write a shout-out to your ‘rents. A simple “Thanks Mom & Dad” atop your cap will let your parents see from the stands how much you appreciate them!

It’s What’s on the Inside that Counts

If your school doesn’t let you funk-i-fy your fashion for G-day, don’t fret. Stayin’ stylin’ sweet is all about what you wear underneath! We Bratz think the best way to decide what to wear under the gown depends on where you’re heading after the turning of the tassel. If you are going to dinner with family, keep it classy. A cream or lace dress provides a great light look.  If you are rockin’ out at a party with friends, a cute and colorful summer dress is a fab look!

Make sure that whichever accessories and statement shoes you wear look rad with both your graduation gown AND with the get-up under!!

V.I.F. Very Important Fashion

Wear a smile! You’re graduating! This is a HUGE deal! Next year you will be starting a new grade, or school, or chapter in your life! You’ve accomplished something HUGE and you’ve got the diploma to prove it!! Be proud of yourselves, Bratzies. We know we are totally, ridiculously, abso-fab-errifically proud of you!!

Rock on! Congrats! And Happy Graduation Day!!

xoxo

Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit

Yo, Bratzies!!

I am so totally jazzed! It’s my fave time of year: PROM SEASON!!! Going to Prom is a total dream come true, but it can turn into a total nightmare if you’re not prepared!!

Introducing Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit. Throw these diva-licious items into your clutch for a surefire fab night of fun and friends!!

Sasha’s Prom Night Survival Kit:

FOLD-UP FLATS: You Bratzies know how much I love my fierce heels, but it’s hard to rock that look and keep pace with a full night of dancing! Even a diva like me won’t pass up on fun for the sake of fashion. Luckily, we don’t have to! You can buy totally adorable flats that fold up to fit into any purse. Bring these along to ensure your feet don’t get tired before you do!

BLOT PADS: Girls, I know you spent a ton of time perfecting your prom make-up. Last thing you want to do is have it smudge and smear while wiping perspiration from your brow! Save the flawless look you created by bringing along some blot pads. You can blot away the sweat without any cosmetic fret.

BOBBY PINS: Let’s be honest, by the end of Prom, your hair will be a mess. Keep your lovely locks in presentable order – at least until you take your Prom photos! – by stashing away some extra bobby pins.

GUM/BREATH MINTS: You will spend the night trying to chat with your BBFs by screaming over the band or DJ. Make sure your friends are happy to get up close and personal by keeping mints handy. Double bonus: your breath will be fresh when talking to boyz!!

STRING: When you’re tired of wearing your corsage or flower crown, a little bit of string can go a long way to preserve your Prom memories! How you ask? Use that string to hang your fab Prom flower pieces upside down and dry them! Remember to do this as soon as you take off the floral pieces. A wilted flower is way harder to dry and preserve!

CASH AND I.D.: Even if you don’t plan on going anywhere after the dance it’s way smart to stash some cash and your I.D.  If you’re anything like this Drama Queen, you will be totally famished and dying to get some grub before heading home. Bringing your wallet ensures you won’t miss out on any post-Prom fun, or get stuck eating mom’s meatless meatloaf leftovers as your midnight snack.

EVER PURSE: 27-year-old Real Bratz Liz Salcedo has come to our Prom aid with a promtastic new clutch! Her EverPurse (https://everpurse.com/) has a built in phone charger!! Now you can promenade without worrying about losing tabs with your besties because of a low battery life or tripping over silly charger wires while trying to boogie down with your BBFs!! Plus, the clutches are totally adorbs!

And lastly, PHONE PLAYLIST: Make a totally rockin’ Prom Playlist on your phone. Not only can the fun jams help get you pumped while prepping for Prom, they can keep the fab energy going while hangin’ with your besties after the dance.

BONUS TIPS:

Drink plenty of water. Perfect the “selfie.” And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, do not be afraid to dance like the rock stars I know you are! Dance like no one is looking! Dance like everyone is looking!! Just dance!!

This is YOUR time. YOUR year. YOUR memory for the rest of YOUR life. Love your friends. Love yourself. And I know you will have a totally fabtastic evening.

I can’t wait to hear all about your totally amazing Proms!!

XOXO,
Sasha

P.S. If you’re NOT going to Prom this year, consider throwing an ANTI-PROM or DUCT TAPE PROM!!! Make your DIY prom into anything you want it to be!! It’s a totally fun way to spend a night with your BBFs!!

Representin’ Advanced Style

Yo Bratzies, it’s your queen, Sasha!

I keep hearing pledging members of the House of Bratz asking me how to dress like REAL BRATZ.    My answer is simple:

DRESS LIKE YOU!!!

Clothes, make-up and hairstyles are just a fun way to show the world who you are on the inside. They are a fabtabulous way to express yourself. If you’re a naturalist on the inside, there’s no need to wear make-up on the outside. If you have a flare for the dramatic, like yours truly, rock out in electric colors and ask your parents if you can put streaks in your hair!

The trick to being a Real Bratz is to always be true to you. There is no need to look or dress like anyone else. Who you are is totes FAB enough!!

The super awesome thing about being a Real Bratz is that ANYONE can become one, at any age!!

Real Bratz super star, Ari Seth Cohen, is on a mission to celebrate and recognize the older Real Bratz population. He finds grandmas on the streets of NYC who exude a true passion for fashion! These older ladies have fierce fashion sense! Whether their clothes are DIY, funky kool, or sleek and chic, they show the world that they are true passionistas. Solid proof that age just refines your fab stylin’s.

Check out Ari’s rad blog. He shows a ton of pics of these Advanced NYC style icons!!

http://advancedstyle.blogspot.com/

I plan on ALWAYS rockin’ my most fabtastic looks! Even when I’m 100!!  Do you plan on being fashionably TRUE TO YOU well into your golden years?  Why wait? Why not start right now?!

Keep stylin’ and smilin’
