It’s total Bratz style to have lots of great people in our life (in addition to our amazing families!). Friends are a big part of our childhood memories, our school days and summer fun. They make us laugh, smile, and sometimes even make us cry. This is all part of what goes into being friends with someone and we think having a friend or two is really awesome.
Today all the Bratz got together to write this blog post as friends. We all love each other (and you, Bratzie) so much that we thought it was time to talk about what goes into being a friend.
First, we think a good friend is always there to support others. With positive energy and words of encouragement, friends are there to lift your spirits when times get tough. Sometimes a friend has to give advice or say things that their friends may not want to hear, but it is important to always tell the truth in a loving way. A friend never wants to hurt another person on purpose.
We also think a friend always looks out for bad fashion! Jade would never let Cloe leave the house in an outfit that’s not so stylish. Sometimes we consider ourselves the Fashion Police for each other. LOL! But again, we always say it in a nice way.
Most importantly, we’re all friends because we like each other and want to create fun times and memories. We all have common interests (like Cloe & Jade with cheerleading) and share a love for fashion. It’s always a good time hanging with the besties and all of us make an effort to keep our friendships strong. It’s all about trying! Try to be a good friend and you will be one!
There are many things that go into being a good friend. This is a topic we’d like to talk more about as time goes on. Would you Bratzies be interested in reading more posts about friendship?
What do you think goes into being a good friend? Tell us in a comment!
Yasmin here for another post on our Bratz Trends Blog today! Lots of our friends have been asking us for tips to dress during the cold Fall and Winter months, so I decided to take the lead to talk about stylish bundled up fashion.
Just because the weather is a drag, doesn’t mean our fashion has to be drab. Right, Bratzies?
There are so many ways to jazz up an outfit even when the weather is trying really hard to give us a “bad outfit day.” I recommend sticking with styles that you know you love and feel comfortable wearing. The important thing is to stay warm!
If you are still looking for more tips, I’ve put together a quick list of Do’s & Don’t’s for ya below!
Definitely Layer Clothes – it makes it easy to go from outdoor to indoor weather without freezing or overheating.
Be Scarf & Gloves Ready – these are great accessories that look good & help keep you warm. They’re also easy to stuff in a backpack or handbag…even a large coat jacket!
Consider a Hat – a lot of heat escapes from the top of the head, so a hat is a good way of trapping that heat to keep in “storage” on a cold day.
Mix & Match – a good rule to stick with in every season. Mix summer prints with winter colors or summer colors with winter prints.
Wear Summer Shorts or Dresses – it’s too cold for summer fabrics unless you cover those legs with tights or leggings.
Go outside with wet hair – even though wet hair may not get you sick, wet hair in cold weather sure does make someone feel colder than usual!
Forget to moisturize – cold weather often dries out skin & lips. Don’t forget to apply chapstick & lotion.
Nowadays a lot of schools require students to wear uniforms. Some people think that it is such a drag, but us Bratz think it’s totes easy to spruce up the outfit and rock that uniform with style!
There’s a lot more to style than just the clothes you wear. Even if others are wearing the same clothes, a girl can always make any outfit her own by adding some fun accessories or playing with different hairstyles. Here’s an idea – if you have to go to school wearing a uniform and the colors are blue, black or khaki, try adding a bold orange, pink or red necklace. Even some funky color stud earrings will do the trick.
Another popular way to accessorize is with a belt. Maybe try to find a metallic gold or silver belt to jazz up the day. Tons of inexpensive belts can be found at places like Forever 21 or H&M. There are plenty of fun ways to mix up belt styles. You can be traditional and place the belt in the loops, but if you are wearing a skirt try loosely hanging the belt around your waist. Or maybe even grab a pretty sash (or scarf if it’s long enough) and tie it around the waist. That could totally fancy up the outfit!
If you’re looking for another way to style up that everyday uniform, try having some fun with different hairstyles. Wear cute headbands that can be found at accessory stores like Justice, Claire’s, Forever 21, or even the little boutiques at your local mall. Also try fun styles that are totes on trend right now like the top knot (check this YouTube Tutorial out to learn how), a side pony-tail, a funky braid (here are 4 easy braids you can recreate from Refinery29) or girly-girl curls (ask mom to help curl your hair).
Remember girls & guys, be sure to know your school’s dress code rules and always ask your parents for permission to surf the Internet for tips & tools, or to use any sort of heating products.
Cold days and winter weather is here and that means there are times when we are stuck in the house due to the snow and rain.
I really love being adventurous so sometimes it’s hard to stay inside all day. I get the worst cabin fever! Whenever that happens though, my mom always knows how to entertain me! First, she suggests that I get cozy by the fire in the living room and read the newest issues from National Geographic or Teen Vogue. My mom tries to help me avoid being on the computer all day, but sometimes she’ll even hand me the laptop so I can read up on all my favorite fashion blogs like Refinery 29, Sea of Shoes, & StyleBistro. But I can only sit and read for so long before I need to do something else. Next, my mom will take me into the kitchen with her and I practice cooking. It’s super fun! And I always get to make myself a nice cup of hot cocoa and add as many marshmallows as I want. That always makes me happy!
Board games are also a fun way to pass the time. My fam will all sit around in the living room and play games like Monopoly (which can take soooooo long to finish), UNO, and Pictionary.
I must say that the coolest indoor activity my mom came up with was surprising me with an at-home chemistry set and encouraging me to create new nail polish colors. It’s so rad! I sit in the kitchen for hours trying to mix up what I think are the hottest colors of the season. I may even bottle them up and gift them for friends this upcoming Holiday.
How do you entertain yourself when you’re stuck inside?
Every year around this time the Bratz and I get together to talk about we are the most thankful for. It’s so much fun to get together, giggle a lot and talk about the things that make us smile every day!
Since Thanksgiving is next week, the girlz got together earlier and it was such a blast! We gave each other big hugs because we were (of course!) very thankful to have such amazing friendz in life. Then we giggled lots about all the cute boys that we were thankful to have crushes on. We’re also extremely thankful for our families! They teach us so much every day and love us no matter what (which is really awesome). Sometimes we can get a little annoyed, but at the end of every day our famz are always there to encourage us to follow our dreams, like the way Sasha’s fam encourages her to follow her fashion designing dreams with all the colored pencils and trips to the fabric store.
But most of all, we all agreed that we are really really REALLY thankful for all the wonderful and amazing Bratzies that we get to call friends! Each one of you are beautiful and special…we don’t know what we would do without all of you. We always love the conversations we get to have; from reading the comments on this blog, chatting on Facebook and tweeting our hearts out on Twitter. We are also really loving this new Instagram world and showing our friendz a different part of our lives. Pretty much what we’re saying is we just adore being your friendz and hope that you feel the same way!
What are you thankful for this year? Be sure to share all the things you are thankful for with friends, family and with us in the comment section below.
Happy Thanksgiving, Bratzies. We wish you all the love in the world!
Let’s face it, getting up in the morning for school can be hard sometimes.
It’s especially hard during the winter when it’s cold and gloomy outside, but you are nice and warm under the blankets! Lots of times we hit snooze over and over (and over) again to give us a few more precious moments of sleep. But those are extra minutes we could use deciding what to wear to school. So NOT cool. We Bratz love to have all the time we need to choose the perfect outfit for the day. A Bratzie can never be rushed when it comes to styling. But we also like to have our beauty sleep too!
Decisions, decisions—luckily, we always have back-up plans!
Sometimes we try to plan our outfit the night before (which totes helps us out).
Other times we choose an outfit that we’ve worn in the past and loved.
There are also our Bratz style staples that we make sure are always on-hand in the closet, just in case we are short on time (check out last week’s blog post for more deets).
One of our favorite things to do is talk on the phone with our bestiez about different outfits to wear throughout the week. Our friends are always there to offer great style advice and we couldn’t be happier!
How do you figure out what to wear every day? Help a Bratzie out and share tips in the comment section.
It’s no secret that the Bratz absolutely love to get dressed up and create some funky, fabulous fashions! We always have tons of fun playing with the clothes in our closets and trying to create more new outfits with items we already own. If you girliez are like us (which we know you are!), fashion and style is a big part of your daily life.
One afternoon we were all hanging around with our BFFs talking about our favorite outfits. After talking clothes for hours (obviously), we compiled a little list of items that all of us seemed to have in our closet that we often used in different ways to create awesome outfits. These items are great to keep on hand and tend to appear every year in some sort of trendy fashion. We thought it was a good idea to share these Bratz Style Staples with all of our friendz! These pieces can create many different styles that fit your personality and the best part is you can wear them from year to year!
Here are our Bratz Style Staples –
Leggings – invest in printed ones like leopard, zebra or a bright neon pair.
Jacket – denim or leather. Even a cropped jacket would be awesome!
White T-shirt – always great to pair with a maxi skirt, denim pants or printed leggings
Accessories – a statement or chunky necklace or earrings always make an outfit pop
Go-To Shoes – whether they are high top sneakers, black high heels, embellished sandals or glitzy flats, your go-to shoes should represent your personality & the outfits you like to wear

The past couple weeks we’ve given ideas and tips about costumes to make this Halloween absolutely boo-tiful, but today we want to talk about some costume ideas for you and your friendz! Halloween is such a fun time of the year, why not make it even more fun and coordinate outfits? Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha and I were hanging one day and exchanging ideas about group costumes. Here are a few of my favorite suggestions that the girlz had –
Cloe thought it’d be super fun if we all dressed up as some of the U.S Women’s soccer team players. Those ladies are super fierce and confident! They even won the gold medal this year at the Olympics in London. Talk about super stars! The costume would be really easy to create. All a gal needs is some black or blue athletic shorts, a soccer jersey shirt, some knee high socks, and athletic shoes. Finish off the look by carrying around a soccer ball. Get in the spirit and wear red, white and blue so everyone knows who you are! Cloe called dibs on Alex Morgan. Which player would you be?
Jade got all science on us Bratz and said we should be mad scientists. LOL! The outfits (as Kool Kat told us) would be a cinch to create and we’re guaranteed to be the koolest science girlz on the block! Start the costume out with your everyday clothes, add a white lab coat, and carry around some beakers filled with colored water (use food coloring). Next, pull up your hair in a ponytail but try to make it as messy as you can. That’s how you get the “mad” part of the scientist.
Sasha was creative with her idea and suggested we all be a swarm of busy bees. Get it? It’s because Sasha is a busy bee! There are plenty of bee costumes at stores to buy, or you can make your own from home. Grab a yellow shirt and stripe it with black electrical tape to create the bees’ body. You can do the same with the shorts, or just wear a pair of black shorts. Wings and antennas are the final touch and your swarm is ready to hit the streets in search of honey candy!
What would you and your friends dress up as? Share your ideas with us in the comments!
Hi there, boo-z! There are all sorts of glam-ific fun in store this Halloween here at the Bratz house, but some of our friends are still having trouble deciding what to dress up as. With so many options out there to choose from, it’s no wonder our Bratzies can’t decide!
Last week we talked about how to create your very own Bratzillaz costume, so now we are going to help out with tips on how to create a Bratz Style Starz. Our style star look is super pop glam and all about having fun. We know if anyone can be a style star best it’s our Bratzies!
Here’s how to create your very own Bratz Style Starz costume in 5 easy steps –
Pick your Star: choose your Bratz Style Starz girl or you can be a combo of all of us!
Style it up: Take a look in your closet for the funkiest, brightest and fun clothes. The bolder, the better. Think Hollywood glam like Selena Gomez, Bella Thorne and Katy Perry. Remember to mix and match styles, patterns and fabrics! Extra tip – ask mom, sister(s) and / or friends to make a visit to their closets for extra options to choose from
Always Accessorize: grab some super trendy sunglasses, shoes (like your princess pouf sandals, if you have them) and plenty of bracelets to complete your glam look.
‘Do your Hair: ask for some help curling the hair or ask if anyone has a fun wig to borrow. The bigger the hair, the better!
Mic-up: Every star needs a microphone! If you don’t already have a toy (or real) microphone handy, you can make your own. Grab a tennis ball and the cardboard from a used paper towel roll and tape them together. Next, wrap it all up black (or any color) tissue paper.
Now you Starz are camera-ready for Glam-oween! For extra star fun, be sure to download the Bratz Style Starz app for the iPhone and iPad. You can document your rockin’ style and snap photos using the Bratz Cam, sing the night away along with us in karaoke, OR even create your very own songs. Go ahead Starz, sing your heart out!
Wishing all our friendz a very stylin’, safe and HAPPY GLAM-oween
Halloween is one of the Bratz’ favorite holidays of the year! What other holiday out there encourages us to get dressed up in fun, funky costumes and makeup?
Word on the street is gals everywhere want to dress up as the Bratzillaz – Cloetta Spelleta, Yasmina Clairvoya, Sashabella Paws, Jade J’Adore and Meygana Broomstix. There’s a quick and easy way for Bratzies to create their own Bratzillaz style with items from around the house. We’re ready for glam to get wicked and you can be too!
Here are 5 easy tips to make your own Bratzillaz costume:
Pick a Bratzillaz girl - (red for Jade J’adore or hot pink for Cloetta Spelletta, or whatevs)
Style the outfit – grab clothes from your own closet & get creative with the chosen color (the funkier, the better!)
Make a cape – with a bed sheet or a piece fabric (be sure to use the color you picked)
Borrow or Create a witch hat –using 2 pieces of cardboard paper (take one sheet & tape together to make a cone, and then cut the other piece into a circle. Wrap both pieces with colored fabric & secure together with glue or tape to make a hat)
