Take the Gratitude Challenge

Whatz the hapz, Bratz?!

Are you familiar with the Gratitude Challenge?

The Gratitude Challenge is a 21-day challenge that asks participants to state one thing they are grateful for each day. Most people do the Gratitude Challenge in November as a countdown to Thanksgiving.

The rad peeps behind the Gratitude Challenge insist that if you acknowledge and state aloud your gratefulness for all the blessings in your life, you will start to see the world as a totally rad place. You will see the silver linings instead of the gray clouds.

I’m all about staying positive, and I am always up for a challenge! So, this year I thought I would get down with grateful!

I’m on day 15 of the Gratitude Challenge.  Here’s what I have so far:

Jade’s Epic List of All Things I’m Grateful For:

  1. My BBFs! My besties are everything!
  2. High heels
  3. Flea markets
  4. All things D.I.Y.
  5. Goggles. Perfect for settin’ up science experiments with style!
  6. Sushi
  7. Funky nail polish colors
  8. The super rad new magnetic nail polish that uses a magnet to make wavy designs! I HEART when science and fashion collide!
  9. Foreign films and indie flicks
  10. People who believe in me and inspire me to chase after all of my passions
  11. Books! I dig reading. Comic books count, too, right?
  12. The ocean! I love to surf on the sand and skate on the boardwalk
  13. Travel – I’ve been able to go to so many rad places. Um, hello, Paris!!
  14. Facing fears. Anytime I’ve been afraid, I’ve pushed past the fear and ended up with amazing results.
  15. Hmm…

Any ideas on what else I should add to my Gratitude List? Would you take the Gratitude Challenge? What would you have on your list?

xoxo

MOvember

Yo yo yo, Bratzos!!

Sasha here, and I want to talk to you about the hottest autumn trend. Moustaches are in! And they’re not just for hipsters. Not during the month of November, anyway.

This November, help raise awareness for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, by joining in the epically fabulous, MOvember.

Movember stands for “moustache November.” Men who are supporting the cause, grow their moustaches for the entire month of November. But you don’t have to be a dude to dive into all the dramarama. You know this Queen Bee isn’t giving up an opportunity to rock the latest look!

Mo-Bros may have it easier by simply letting their facial hair grow, but Mo-Sistas have many options to help the cause and look fab doing it!

Here are a few ways Mo-Sistas can celebrate Movember:

1: The Finger-Stache.

Simply place your pointer finger above your upper lip to look like a moustache. Whenever you see a Mo-Bro, make your finger-stache to show your support!

2: The Pony-Stache

Use your own hair or ponytail and pull it around to front of your face to act as a moustache!

3: Jewelry-Stache:

Check out these ultra fab sunglasses and fabnomenal ring! Some moustache jewelry even donates a part of their proceeds to men’s cancers research! Check before you buy! Shopping is so much more fun when you’re helping peeps at the same time! Am I right?

4: Nail-Staches

For an easy and free moustache look, you can always paint on your stache! This way, you can never leave your look somewhere or forget it at home! You’ll be supporting the cause 24/7!

5: Stache-on-a-Stick

Cut out a moustache in your fave construction paper color and tape it to a straw for an easy, no-drama moustache.

NaNoWriMO!!

Namaste, Bratzies,

I am so happy. November is one of my most favorite months out of the year. Can you guess why?

NaNoWriMo!!

Do you Bratzies know about NaNoWriMo?

NaNoWriMo stands for NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth! For the month of November, people from all around the world commit to completing the first draft of their novel. Or at least, to complete the first 50,000 words of it! It’s sooooo cool! Everyone who participates in NaNoWriMo instantly finds a community of writers!

There is a website where you can sign in, upload your pages and share your daily word count. But, you don’t have to sign up online to participate! I didn’t! Instead, I just told my BBFs all about it, and they are doing it with me!

Once a week we get together and tell each other about our stories. We also give each other ideas, and, most importantly, lots of encouragement!! Writing is hard. Hugs, kind words and constructive criticism are a must!!

Trying to write 50,000 words in one month is no joke! But participating in NaNoWriMo, and giving your dream of being a novelist a real shot, is totally the ZENsible thing to do!

I’m writing a fantasy book! What are you Bratzies writing about? Give me the summary of your story below! I bet it’s OM-mazing!

Ooh, and if you need some reading inspiration, check out my brand new comic book, all about me pursuing my passions!

Find it under the GAMES section on our website!

Candy Fashion!

Yo yo yo Bratzos!!

Sasha here! I had a howlin’ Halloween!

My favorite part of Trick or Treating is that it’s a total drama-rama smorgasbord! And I’m not talking about all the yummy candy. Nor am I referring to the cool costumes. I mean, Halloween rocks because it gives you a door-to-door buffet line of fun fashion possibilities!

Don’t follow what I’m saying?

Here’s a picture to help you get the picture!

Halloween hooks me up with all the candy (and candy wrappers!) I need to make sweet jewelry and purses! And you can make these confectionary fashion statements, too. It’s totes easy peasy.

Here is a fabtastic blog I found on making Bratztastic bracelets:

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Make-A-Bracelet-Out-Of-Candy-Wrappers/

If chunky jewelry isn’t really your thing and your looking for a dramatic fashion statement, read this great blog on making boss bags from candy wrappers:

http://iwannanewbag.blogspot.com/2007/04/purses-made-from-candy-wrappers-etc.html

Everyone will be asking you where you got the look!

Remember, these fashion statements take some time to make, so you don’t have to gorge on all your candy at once! Just chew as you go! Create as you salivate! It’s too fab!!

Do you have any suggestions on any other fab fashions you can make from your Halloween swag?

Love ya lots!

XOXO
